Synopsis: Vengeance never dies … When the unconventional Imogen Lancaster embarked on a mission to infiltrate high society and avenge her beloved cousin’s murder she never would have guessed she’d end up in the arms of a thief. Though one is chasing a blackmailer and the other a murderer, they quickly realize they are on the hunt for the same villain. Now they must work together, which would be fine, if they could decide if they’d rather fall in love or kill one another.

Miss Gemma Lancaster has been hiding in plain sight amongst the Ton. She has made herself as uninteresting as possible so that nobody notices her disappearances from the various parties and balls. She needs to be able to search the homes of all her suspects.

Lucas Stone the Earl of Winchester has noticed the unusual behaviour of a certain young lady, but has an investigation to carry out. It seems that they may have something or someone in common.

This is a marvellous mystery and historical romance. When you are getting ready to read this make sure you are not going to be disturbed. Once you start you won't want to put it down. There is just so much happening. The characters are so much fun and can find trouble round every corner. There is no way to work out who the villain is until our author tells us. A nice dangerous climatic ending.

I loved every page.
