Title: Love in Motion

Genre: Contemporary/NA Romance
Release Date: July 14, 2020
Cover Design: Angela K. Parker
The thing about love…
It’s kind & beautiful, soft & hard, forgiving & emotional, but love can also be blind. Love can twist and turn you into someone unrecognizable.
That’s the way it was for Josie and me. She became my everything. I fell heart over mind, allowing her to take the only thing that I could call my own. The life I envisioned for us was blurred by secrets, hard to overcome. She made me question whether what we had was based on truth or a lie.
Dalton was an obstacle in the way of what I’d always shied away from, and the only way to reach my end was through him. So, I made a choice to get close to him, even when I shouldn’t have. We were never meant to be what we became. I didn’t intend for something forced to turn into something real. In the end, Dalton was so much more than just a means to an end. He held the key to everything, including my heart. It was his to have, to hold, to break, and to mend.
That’s the thing about love…
It can’t be forced. It just happens, and once it’s in motion, it’s impossible to stop.

The Lord of the Highwaymen (Hearts & Highways #1) by Elizabeth Bramwell. Historical Romance Release & ARC Review.

Add To

It's one thing to pretend to be a highwayman, but quite another to hold up the lady you love.

Following his disastrous attempt to woo the woman he loves, the Honorable William Haddington and his friends retire to Brooks club to drown their sorrows, only to find themselves agreeing to a ridiculous wager: they must don masks and cloaks to begin temporary careers as highwaymen, or lose their fortunes to men they despise.

Confused and frustrated by the odd encounter with the man she adores, Lady Amelia Fellowes is in no mood to suffer fools when five well-dressed men try to hold up her carriage in the middle of Hyde Park. When a second group of thieves arrive moments later, her temper flares. After all, she knows better than to leave her fate in the hands of mere men, and decides to take charge of the situation. What she does not expect, however, is to recognize the handsome leader of one group of rogues, or that he will ask her to dance with him in the moonlight.

William, feeling brave behind his mask, takes the chance to flirt outrageously with the woman he has loved since childhood. Amelia is strong, intelligent, and permanently above his touch, but in his current disguise, he is free to treat her with the gallantry and romance he has always wished to show. When she responds to him in kind, he almost forgets why he’s dressed up as a highwayman in the first place.

The real criminals of the road, however, are not about to make that mistake.

The Honorable William Haddington is a very intelligent man but when it comes to the woman he loves he can't find any sensible words at all.  His friends are determined to help him.
Lady Amelia Fellowes has finished mourning for her husband.  He was much older than her and told her to find happiness after he was gone.  Now is the time to change her bestfriend into a husband.
A fun historical romance with lovely characters.  This is obviously the first in a series where the back story will follow through each book because the "bet" wasn't settled.

Former terror cell expert Audrey Jenkins has seen enough death and destruction to last a lifetime. When she uncovers her ex, Brett, a higher-ranking officer in her unit, selling military secrets, she turns him in and returns to the simpler life she has embraced since leaving the army.

CID Special Agent Cam Harris is a career military man with a strong sense of duty. When a military prisoner who once saved his life in Afghanistan escapes while in his custody, he requests the assignment to track him down.

Cam's manhunt leads him to Audrey's door. His prisoner—her ex—will resurface here, he’s sure of it. The feisty woman wants nothing to do with hunting down her ex, but when a terror cell she’s all-too-familiar with launches a deadly attack on army intelligence soldiers and officers, she knows it’s Brett.

Helping Cam is the right thing to do. But the attraction burning between them may be the mistake that gets her and Cam killed...

Audrey Jenkins has a new life outside or the Army.  Since her devastating failure cost so many lives there was no way she would stay. Her bad choices followed her into her personal life, now she's giving evidence against her ex in a court martial.
Our heroine has suffered a blow to her self-confidence,  but is still a strong and brave soldier at heart.
CID Special Agent Cam Harris wanted to give his friend the benefit of the doubt. That turns out to be the biggest mistake of his career.
Our hero is strong sexy and honourable,  everything you could possibly want in a hero.
Although we know the villain from the start it doesn't help to foil the plot.
This is an action packed romantic suspense full of danger and intrigue.  Our characters have to foil a terrorist plot and don't know who to trust.
A very exciting story that will keep you on the edge of your seat all the way through.
I loved it.

Cathy Skendrovich has always loved a good story, and spent her formative years scribbling what is now called Fan Fiction. The current heartthrob of the time featured heavily in all her stories. Unfortunately, once she went to college, her writing took the form of term papers, written on typewriters instead of computer keyboards.

Upon graduation, Cathy took a job as an English teacher in a middle school. Along the way, she married her husband of now thirty-two years, had two sons, and moved to southern Orange County, California. She chose to work part-time in the school system there.

Now she has returned to writing. Prisoner of Love is her first published novel, followed closely by The Pirate's Bride. A sequel to The Pirate's Bride, as well as another contemporary romantic suspense are in the works.

She likes writing romance because she feels it's lacking in today's technological world. While she enjoys writing contemporary stories, creating romance in bygone times fascinates her. She hopes her ability to write in both genres will be the beginning of a long and satisfying writing career.

MV ELLIS knows what it’s like to fall head over heels in love with a badass musician. She followed her heart halfway around the world to be with one. She moved from London to Sydney after a steamy holiday romance with a sexy bass player in sultry Brazil.
Twelve years, two children and a dog later, and she’s still smitten. All this with a guy she sat next to on a bus for 36 hours! She has toured internationally as a ‘WAG’, and her experiences inspire her writing.
Ellis’ love of romance began when she was 11 years old, after a summer spent secretly reading her auntie’s books. She’s been a sucker for an alpha hero and strong heroine ever since.
An avid reader, Ellis always knew that she’d write a book of her own one day. She was right about that. Following a career spanning advertising, marketing, and social media, she finally wrote Catching London in 2017. She has continued to expand the Heartless Few series beyond Catching London, with releases planned through to 2020. In addition, she has launched a new four-part
series, Rough Ink series, set in the sexy world of a New York tattoo studio. Expect the same sexy badass guys, angst galore, witty banter, scorching bedroom scenes, and kickass sassy women; but with a whole new world, and cast of characters to get to know and love. Zed, the first book in the series launched in June 2019.
