Although Sir Caius De Wolfe has been betrothed since he was a child, he has a reputation as a womanizer.  No woman ever refuses him and he enjoys being the center of attention.

Lady Kendall Del Rey has heard all about how her betrothed has behaved.  She even saw him herself.  How can she marry a man who thinks so little of her,  to shame her so.  

This book is part of the De Wolfe world and that means it links to a lot of fabulous warriors in other books.  Our hero has to change his ways to please his betrothed and our heroine has to learn to trust someone who doesn't seem trust worthy.  

An entertaining story.

Isabella Dunbar has been serving in King Robert the Bruce's court for eight years and has a fascination for history.  The new addition to court is causing quite a stir.  

This is an exciting story filled with intrigue, danger and misunderstanding. We have a hero who doesn't know what to expect and is being stalked by someone with mischievous or is it evil intent.  

We also have a brave and intelligent heroine who will not be treated as property.  

If you have read any other books by this author you might recognize some of the secondary characters.  This book is easily read as a stand alone.  

A very entertaining read.

Sir Richard de Wolfe is the captain of the guard to a very powerful and well respected Earl.  His boss is one of the men who pushed King John into signing the Magna Carta. 

This is a story that could easily be true.  The danger faced by our characters is very believable.  Our hero is a typical de Wolfe,  strong,  honourable , arrogant and sexy. 

Jocelyn has had a very unusual upbringing.  She has been raised in an Abbey and educated and disguised as a boy.  When an exceptional scribe is needed she is the only one for the work.

She has never travelled outside before.  That doesn't stop her from having her own opinions on the people she will be travelling with. 

Our heroine is brave,  intelligent and very alone in the world. 

Lots of excitement,  danger and politics.

It was very easy to get involved in the lives of all the characters.

I loved it.

Sir Leonidus de Wolfe hasn't even begun to think of getting married,  but agrees with his father that it must be done to keep peace on the border.  He is a naughty but generally good man with a fearsome reputation. 
An exciting and fun read with lovely characters.  The story really keeps to the character of the series that it is linked to. 
I have not read anything from this author before,  but will definitely be looking for more of her books. 
I loved it.

Miss Linnet James is in Blackwater with her family so that her mother can take the healing waters.  They are struggling somewhat in what was known as genteel poverty.  With her father dead and her mother ill,  it's up to her to look after them all. 
Captain John/Jack Wolfe has returned from war to find life as a civilian boring.  So he has upset his father by his wastrel ways.  His father's reaction was to cut his money off.  Now he has no choice but to sort himself out. 
This is a sweet romance with great characters,  humour and a little bit of danger from a strange source.  Our hero does justice to his exalted family line.
I love the "Blackhaven" books and this fits in nicely. 
Good fun.

I loved the way this is woven into the "World of the De Wolfe Pack" . The heroes personality fits perfectly and the heroine is just as strong and independent as every De Wolfe woman.
