Battle scarred Sir Dervenn de Roure is escorting the orphans to William.  He knows that he can have one of them as a wife, but will not force anyone to look at his ugly face everyday. 

In this medieval romance we have an entitled and arrogant heroine and a sensitive and intelligent hero.  

A lovely look into the lives of our characters and what could be the beginning of a dynasty.

Nikolai Morgan-Lloyd ,Earl of Ainsworth is known to his friends as a stick in the mud and someone who always follows the rules. His mother on the other hand is very flamboyant and proud of her Russian heritage. 

Patsy is impulsive and tends to speak before she thinks.  Her mischievous streak is not always appreciated. 

Nikolai soon discovers he has a hidden liking for mischief that he has never noticed before.  

This is a fun-filled historical romance with great characters.  The descriptions of the art, the racing and Astley's hippodrome are so realistic and fascinating I could see them.  There is a little danger and an adventure.  

This is the third book in the series but easily read on it's own. We do get to meet some of our friends from the previous books.  

Great fun,  I loved it.

This historical romance is lots of fun,  with fabulous characters.  There is danger and a heroic rescue,  but maybe not the way you would expect.  All with a wonderful horse at the center of the story.  

This is part of a series,  and while you can easily read each book on it's own,  as a series they are best read in order.

Roland Montbryce is the second son from the powerful Normandy family.  After a battle there that the English troops lost,  he found one of his English cousins with the prisoners. That will just be the first of the rescues in this story.  Our hero falls in love with a woman he has never met.  How can that be true?? 

Adelina de Quincey was taken by King John as a ward of court.  Now he has decided she will be married off.  Adelina is not looking forward to the long journey to her betrothed.  But a message received just before departure fills her with hope. 

There is a lot of danger for our characters to face. Some from the elements and more from people.  The Viking,  seafarers blood runs strongly through our hero and he will need it.  Our heroine might not be a warrior,  but she is very strong willed and not easily defeated.  

This is the second book in this series.  While you could enjoy this book on it's own,  the family story is fascinating, so best read in order.

This is an exciting historical romance with fabulous characters and an unusual storyline. Our heroine never imagined she was capable of so much.  Our hero comes from a family you might have met before in other stories,  but you can easily read this on it's own.

Becket de Montbryce is not happy about supporting the French King Philip conquer a Norman stronghold but it is better for his homeland of Normandy than the English King John.  The siege of this stronghold has cost far too many lives, but at least it's over now. He will do his best to help those he can. 

Marguerite d'Aigremont knows that her family connections will be the death of her if the French army catch her. Luckily one of the Nuns gives her a chance to escape. 

Secrets and outright lies are sometimes the only way to survive in war.  Our heroine has very few choices, but is she brave enough to make the right one?  Our hero knows when he is being lied to, and will not fall for a dishonest woman again.  

An exciting historical romance that starts a new generation of the Montbryce dynasty.  You don't have to have read the others to enjoy this one,  but it's nice to revisit old friends.

Not only is Teagan MacCray the youngest in her family,  she's the only girl with seven older brothers.  With an enemy clan as the nearest neighbours, she doesn't get a lot of freedom.  The sea she looks out over every day calls to her.  Although her brothers are great mariners they never even think of allowing her to sail.

Marshall Robson tries his best to look after the Clan but his older brother is the Laird and a drunk.  It's time to do something drastic. Maybe a truce with the neighbours so that they can use the better harbour will help.  

This historical Highland adventure/romance is great fun.  Nothing happened as I expected.  Every time I thought I could guess what was about to to happen I was wrong.  Both our lead characters want what's best for their respective Clans and that means putting their own desires away.  The sea is the most important thing to both Clans and it's a very dangerous thing to rely on. 

Thus book is part of a series of stand alone stories.  Each one is better than the last.  I have loved all of them.

Lady Jane Lockie has been having a really difficult time since her father remarried.  The woman has her father completely under her control to the detriment of the whole clan.  Everytime Jane gets locked away in the turret room, the old broken down windmill in the distance seems to call to her.

Spencer McDool is trying to find ways to save the clan from financial disaster but his brother is still Laird even though he is very sick. They need the old windmill for the crops this year but it doesn't belong to just his clan.  

Old enemies could be just who are needed when the trouble starts.  

Our heroine is a lot braver than she thinks and our hero is a man with lots of love to give,  but the clan must come before his wishes. 

This is a realistic and exciting story with fabulous characters.  There are no huge battles but the clans have hated each other for a very long time.  So where does the threat come from??
