Born and raised in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, Marissa Dobson now resides about an hour from Washington, D.C. She’s a lady who likes to keep busy, and is always busy doing something. With two different college degrees, she believes you are never done learning.

Dina was a late bloomer. She didn't become a "reader" until one summer away from college, working at a failing video store in her home town, the East Bay Area of California. With several hours of downtime, she snuck her mother's book, Pet Sematary, to work and found her imagination came to life with the creepy words on Stephen King's pages. Back at university, she began to realize her own penchant for story-telling in an exchange that started with a close friend. Oddly enough, by the time she graduated with a degree in Sociology, she knew she wanted to become an actress, but her "B" plan (or maybe it was her "C" plan) was to someday write a book, or books if she planned to make any sort of living off of it. Something romance related, of course.
Flash forward 10 years (or more), when acting started to look more like a pipe dream, she picked up the pen, literally, and wrote her first book. A friend had introduced her to the Urban Fantasy genre and didn't that seem apropos; elements of horror combined with everything she liked about romance. She is happy to pursue this passion while she keeps a few contemporary romance stories on standby.

Carter is a Navajo from the Havasupia tribe. This tribe have  the ability to shift into wolf form.  The mission Carter and his team are going on will bring him face to face with his past. Strange happenings on and around the reservation mean that Omega must investigate. 
Ancient tribal animosity, petty jealousy and lies make the job difficult.  Add in a secret government project with a mad man in control and the whole thing becomes lethal.

This is the second book in the series and it would be better to read them in order, so that you understand the team members special abilities.  All the characters are heroes in their own very different ways. There is a little gentle romance and lots of exciting action and adventure.  A marvellous fun read.

My heart raced at the thought of finally finding her—the woman who was destined to be my mate. My brothers liked to tease me about being a bit of a white knight because I had a habit of helping women who were in distress, but I couldn’t stop myself from doing it. Black River Pack #3

Annora has always had a bad relationship with her father.  Instead of the love and protection that the other she wolves got from their father's, Annora was constantly bullied and could never be good enough for him. When the day came that she found out why she knew she had to run for her life.
Parker knows his true mate is out there somewhere, and is in danger.. It is tormenting him that he can't find her to help her. He has some big surprises coming.
There is a lot of good things happening within the Black River pack .
A lovely sexy and emotional story from a very good series. 

Wilder´s Mate. Bloodhounds #1´by Moira Rogers

This is a difficult book to put in any one genre, it's Paranormal romance, historical and a bit Steampunk. 

Satira lives in the very wild west. She has been studying under the best inventor, but he has been abducted by a vampire. The Bloodhound guild ( a group of shape shifters that work like Marshals.) that the inventor works for must send one of their bloodhounds to rescue him.
Wilder is the best and Satira persuades him to take her along. She knows how to use the special weapons that could make all the difference.  It will be a dangerous journey, not least because the new moon is just a few days away. That is not an easy time to be around a bloodhound. They have very demanding needs at the new moon. Satira and Wilder  must venture into the dead lands. A lawless area that has more undead residents than live ones.

The sex scenes are HOT and graphic. (Unfortunately a few uses of the "c" word) Not enough to put me off. An unusual and enjoyable read. With action of one sort or another on nearly every page, Good strong characters with just the right amount of vulnerability. With teasers for the next book by introducing the secondary characters.

The Dasreach are shifters , every 20 years a new team of 13 are chosen to go through 20years of training. They are to be the council and their task is to protect the balance of the earth. By the end of that training they must also have a Mate, this mate provides the necessary balance. The current team are finding it hard to find their mates. They only have 18 months left to find them. So drastic measures are called for. Kai is the Dragon shifter , that makes him the leader. He decides to get out a globe and a set of darts to find where to look.

Alvena is a woman with no self confidence and serious trust issues. She does not even trust herself to make the right choices. T he friends she has made through a book group on facebook are the best friends she has ever had. There is a romance book conference coming up in New Orleans . Alvena is meeting two of her bookworm friends to go and enjoy the conference. Kai spotted Alvena before she leaves and knows she is his Mate, so he follows her.

Someone is trying to make sure none of the 13 get their mates, by killing the women that are possible matches. When several attempts have been made on Alvena ,Kai must try to get them back to home base ,but there is a traitor in the Dasreach who is sending the assassins to stop them. Alvena and Kai have an exciting cross country trip.

I found the intro and the prologue a little long winded , but you do need to read it. Once I hit the first chapter the story took off. It is an exciting and fun read. The girls friendship shows us that true friends are not necessarily the people you have known the longest or even the ones you see the most. They are the sisters of the heart who love you no matter what.´I am definitely going to read the rest of this series.

A Book from the Dark Hunter world.
 Maggie is missing her dear friend and study partner Nick.  He has recently died, so to remember him she and a few other friends decide to go to the bar Nick always spoke about. Maggie is the daughter of a Senator and her friends are a privileged lot, so the biker bar in the French quarter is a dangerous place. Wren is a busboy in the bar known as Sanctuary.  The bar is much more than it seems. It is a place of safety for any Katagaria (were ) that needs it.  Wren is a tigard, white Tiger/ snow leopard mix. He has lived at Sanctuary since the death of his parents, always knowing that he is flawed and a danger to anyone near him.  He keeps  to himself and tries not to be noticed. When Maggie and her friends come in Wren is drawn to her and finds he is the subject of derision from the boys who think they are better than him. Maggie stays behind when the others are thrown out, so that she can apologize to Wren. He knows he can't have Maggie but can't seem to keep away. The owners of Sanctuary are worried that Wren is going mad and will expose them to humans. They will put him down before they allow that.

 Nothing is as it seems in this story. It shows us not to judge by appearances.  Lots of excitement and great characters.
  I read this out of the series order, but apart from a couple of things I didn't know,  I think It's OK to read on It's own.
