Finch and Victoria are drawn to each other but Finch believes he is too broken and undeserving of love, even after he weds Victoria and then abandons her. Only when the mother he believes betrayed him shares with Finch how he should take a chance on the healing power of love does Finch decide to let his heart speak to Victoria.

Will Finch’s courageous actions win Victoria back—or will she reject him, plunging him into eternal darkness?

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lady Victoria Pemberton finds herself a widow after the murder of her husband.  Her marriage was not a happy one but the circumstances of his death will affect her life for a very long time.  Our heroine is hoping for a new husband and maybe children when she rejoined society.
William Finchley had a terrible childhood until he joined the Turner Academy and found four other boys who would become brothers of his heart.  The Turner Terrors all lived together until the others joined the military and he became a vicar.
Our hero has never come to terms with his past and until he does he will never heal.
This is a very emotional historical romance with fabulous characters.
I have loved every one of the books in this series.  All the "Terrors" have their own book, so each can be read on it's own.  I would however recommend reading the series in order just because you will meet the others in all the books.
A marvelous series.
I loved it.

Add To

Welcome to the new world from Alexa Aston—Dukes Done Wrong.

Accused of something they never did. Five boys banished from their homes in disgrace, to the place where they find the brothers of their heart—and build new family ties that will last a lifetime.

An angry army spy who becomes a reluctant duke. A virgin widow who seeks a husband who will give her children. An attraction that leads to passion... and love...

Wyatt Stanton served as a spy for Wellington until he receives word of his brother’s death. Reluctantly, he returns to England as the Duke of Amesbury and to Amberwood, a place he once loved and was banished from after his brother falsely accused Wyatt of burning down the family stables with over two dozen horses inside. His soul seared by war, the man who lived for danger must now become a member of Polite Society and find himself a duchess so he has an heir.

Meadow Grant’s father sold her to Lord Selfridge so he could pay his gambling debts. Selfridge collects beautiful things, and Meadow is the most beautiful girl of the Season. Once he possessed her, Selfridge lost interest and moved on to other things. Now a widow, the resilient Meadow is ready to make her own choice this time and find a husband who yearns for children as much as she does. Though attracted to the Duke of Amesbury, he is far too arrogant and conceited for her tastes, even if he does kiss well.

Wyatt is bored with all the younger women on the Marriage Mart, but he believes the beautiful and more mature Lady Selfridge fits his idea of a suitable duchess. The fact that he is attracted to her and she gets along well with his friends only confirms she is the one. Meadow wants to be courted, though, and Wyatt is up to the challenge, relentless in his pursuit, even liking how Meadow makes him work to earn her favor.

Though neither looks for love, will the reckless Wyatt and spitfire Meadow realize love has found them and will flourish, given the chance?

After being sent away from his home as a boy,  Wyatt Stanton made the Army his life serving as a spy in the war. Now he has inherited the title of Duke of Amesbury,  something he never expected to happen.  He knows how short life can be so decides he needs to marry and get an heir soon.
Lady Meadow Sterling was just possession to her husband.  Once he bought her from her gambler father, he ignored her. Now as a widow it's time to make her own decisions.
Our heroine's legacy from her husband is going to place her in grave danger.  Our hero is impulsive and a little arrogant,  but with a bit of help from his friends can change many lives.
A very entertaining, slightly sexy historical romance.  The characters are great fun,  some of whom you might have met in the previous book in this series.  You can read this on it's own but it will tempt you to read the rest.
Great fun

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Sebastian Cooper,  Marquess of Marbury couldn't stand to be anywhere near his father.  So as soon as he was old enough he bought a commission and went off to war.  Years later it's time to go home and regain his life.
Orphaned Lady Hadley Hampton is now the ward to a very grumpy Duke of Hardwick.  Even at only thirteen years old she knows her own mind and will not be pushed aside. Letters from the Duke's heir have made her feel she knows him.  That daydream soon changes with reality.
This historical romance gives us a wonderful tormented hero and a very sensible heroine. You couldn't get two more different people.  The friends you will meet are from previous books in the series,  so it might spoil those for you if you haven't read them yet.  Each book in the series is a full story on it's own, but they are linked.  I have read and loved all of them.  This author never let's me down.
Great fun.

Find the answer in The Duke of Arrogance, Book 4 in the Dukes of Distinction.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Jonathan Sutton loves his twin brother. He would willingly die for him,  or kill for him.  Arch is the heir and Jon the spare,  which means their father is only interested in Arch and ignores Jon when he isn't criticizing him.
A terrible tragedy means a new Duke with a heavy burden to carry.
Arabella Jennings is the daughter of an Oxford Don who suddenly finds himself an Earl.  The big changes in their lives will take all her intelligence to find a way through.
Polite society can be harsh to those who don't fit in.
Our hero has done his best to live the way his brother would want,  but now it's time yo be himself.
Our heroine finds that her education doesn't help her navigate her new surroundings.
There are wonderful characters in this historical romance.  Some of the secondary ones you might have met in previous books.  You can still easily read this book as a stand alone without spoiling the others in the series.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this and the previous ones and will definitely read the rest of the series.
Great fun.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

When Lady Samantha Wallace sees that the man she has always wanted  is set to marry someone else she chooses to find the complete opposite for herself. That turns out to be an unhappy and dangerous decision. Even after the death of her husband.
George,  the Duke of Colebourne has been given the title of the Duke of Charm because he is a rake who charms the ladies to his bed. After years running wild through society he's tired of that life.  It's time to settle down and only one woman comes to mind to be his Duchess.
The characters in this lovely historical romance change a lot over the course of the book.  Even bad experiences help people grow.
An emotional story.
I loved it.

After a terrible tragedy Phoebe Smythe, Countess of Borwick rents a cottage on the Cornish coast.  The peace and isolation is helping her heal.
The news from home means that Captain Andrew Graham is forced to leave the war and his men to take up other duties. What he will face is going to be just as difficult and dangerous.
This is a very amusing and at times tragic historical romance.  Our characters have very good reasons for leaving society behind. Will that help or hinder them as they move forward with their lives?
Really good fun.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Mac Randall has spent all his working life in the army and knows how fleeting that life can be.  When his faithless wife dies he is offered a totally different type of career,  as a stuntman.
Keely Kennedy is a leading lady in Hollywood. She was thrust into the limelight unexpectedly and understands how much it impacts a person's life.  The dramatic events that follow the start of her latest movie will turn everyone's world upside down.
The loyalty and support from real friends is never more important than when things go wrong.
This is a contemporary romance with suspense. Our characters don't realize the danger they are in.  Someone doesn't want this movie made.
All the characters are dynamic and full of love but sometimes a little lacking in confidence.  The storyline will keep you entertained from the first to last page.
If you have read any of the previous books in the series you will have met the supporting cast.  Because they play a big part in each story, the series is best read in order but each book can be read alone.
Really good fun.
