Broden McGregor has unexpectedly inherited an English title. It's the last thing a highlander like him wants, but it comes with responsibilities he can't ignore. There could be a few perks that come with it though, like the fact that a certain young lady is no longer far above his reach.
Kendra is on an errand for her mother to the nearby village when she sees her childhood tormentor, her brother's best friend. Their unusually civilized conversation is interrupted by a gunshot.
This is an exciting historical romance with a nice dangerous mystery to solve. The characters are lots of fun and I don't think you will guess the real villain until you read it. Our heroine will find out she's a lot stronger than she thought and the hero is nowhere near as bad as she believed.
This is part of a series but easily read on it's own.
