Trista Patterson was working at the school in the village when the cartel fighters came and tried to take one of the girls. She persuaded them to take her instead. A big mistake for them.
Our hero is working for a few different organizations , one of them is the CIA.  He usually works alone, but has contacts he can call on.
Our heroine is a bit of an adrenaline junkie. She has a bad habit of getting into dangerous situations, but is also very resourceful. 
A marvellous action packed thriller. This story hardly gives you time to breathe between life and death decisions..
It is book #3 in the series but easily read as a stand alone. Although if you are going to read the series it would contain spoilers for the previous ones.
If you are looking for an exciting read this is it.
