Senior Chief Douglas Kowalski has accompanied his friend and business partner in Midnight security to an exhibition of wonderful jewels because the cases that they are displayed in we're designed by his friend's wife. He feels naked because he is unarmed, which for this retired SEAL  is unusual.  That turns out to be a big mistake. 
Allegra Ennis is a singer and harpist. She is the entertainment for the night.  She has been blinded by an attack that she can't remember, and is struggling to rebuild her life.

Our hero is a warrior through and through. People tend to take one look at him and move away. He has an appreciation for beautiful music, and is instantly drawn in by the beauty on stage. There is someone who has unfinished business with Allegra, and will push her to her limit.
A sexy, romantic suspense, with a very emotional story line. I loved it.

This is the third book in the series, and while you could read it as a stand alone, if you want to read the series it's best to read them in order.
