I read it from start to finish in one day. The story is full of action and suspense with characters that pull you in and make you feel their emotional turmoil as the story unfolds. Hunter James is special forces and has been sent back to his home town to track down a terrorist. The suspects are well known to him and cause him some serious soul searching.
Evie Videl has suffered severe domestic abuse, but managed to get away from the man responsible. Unfortunately the same man is very powerful and corrupt. He has the local law enforcement in his pocket and is using them for his own goals.
There is a lot of action in this story, with dramatic chases through a flooded and dangerous backwater Mississippi town.
Our hero is doubting his capabilities after loosing a member of his team. He is now facing the girl he left behind and the man she replaced him with.
Our heroine is struggling to protect her family from the man she knows is evil personified.
This book will keep you on the edge of your seat and unable to put the book down until the end. Then it will give you another jolt to make sure you want to read the next book.

Ranger James has the terrible task of telling his best friend and brother in arms wife, that her husband has been killed in action. A task made all the harder by their shared history. Ranger is a typical special forces hero, but back in his home town more personal feelings make his life harder to cope with.

This is the second in this thrilling, all action series. It is better to have read the first book, but possible to enjoy this on it's own. I'm looking forward to reading more of this series.

This is the third in the series, but can easily be read as a stand alone.

I couldn't put this down once I started it. Its a very intense, exciting and sexy story. With plenty of action and adventure. Our hero is battling with his own feelings as much as the people who want him dead. Our heroine, despite her hillbilly upbringing is an innocent with a huge heart.
A marvellous series. I will be reading the next one very soon.

This is book #6 n the Men of Mercy series and should be read after Reckless River. This story can be read on it's own but our hero was badly damaged in Reckless River and that explains his history.
Hoyt Crowe is suffering from severe PTSD he is physically and mentally scarred. For a man so used to being strong this is impossible for him to deal with. He has shut out everyone, especially the woman he loves. She needs a whole man who can give her what she deserves. Haydon James is focusing on getting her psychology degree at university.
