Miss Fenella Franklin doesn't fit the current fashion.  She's intelligent, blonde and taller than most men.  Her father is only a baronet who made his fortune in trade.  Her mother is pushing her into society and wants her to marry a man with a title.  After being humiliated once too often she begs her father to let her go and stay in Scotland with her grandmother.

Lachlan MacNaughton is not happy as his Grandfather's second in the Clan.  He would be much happier in the family's Glasgow Mill. 

This is a fun historical romance with lovely characters and complicated family conflicts. You will easily get caught up in their lives.  

This is the first book of the series. I will definitely read the rest.
