This Valentine's Day, everything's going to get bucked up...
This is a standalone novella with a pinch of holiday whimsy. You've been warned. This is staggering.
Zaria Swann hates Valentine's Day. There's no way around it, the whole damn day is cursed. Nothing good ever happens around Valentine's and with the recent break-up from her boyfriend in the not-so-distant past, the curvy black woman is convinced that this year everything's going to be the same. Only the hijinks of a dear friend could... make it even worse! Having met a dashing man at a speed-dating event Zaria had no intent of going to, Zaria once again finds herself struck with the curse of Valentine's Day when he never contacts her. This time, thought, maybe there's a way out?
Cupid Frost is a workaholic set loose on Valentine's Day, the one time of the year that he despises more than anything. For a stag shifter with a birthday on the date, one would think he'd get along better with the holiday of hearts and love, but that's the furthest thing from the truth. Dragged along by his brother, kicking and snorting, Cupid finds himself staring at the most beautiful woman in the world. Suddenly falling in love and finding his mate was certainly not what Cupid had planned for the most dreadful weekend of the year...
With a crazy ex on the loose and fate seeming to screw them at every turn, can Cupid and Zaria find their way together, or is the curse of Valentine's Day a real thing for these two?

Its nearly the day that must not be named . Having a name like Cupid Frost, and being born on the 14th of February is definitely a curse. He and his brothers run a logistics company, flying gifts all around the world in their special aircraft. This year he can't get away from all the hearts and flowers, he must deliver them. Since two of his brothers have found mates all the others seem to want theirs. Not Cupid he's sure all this "fated mate" business is all a tale told to shifters everywhere.
Zaria Swann is convinced that the 14th of February is the worst day in the calendar. Bad things always happen that day. So trying to put her stalker ex out of her mind she allows herself to be dragged to a speed dating get together.
This is a light- hearted, almost an anti romance, shifter romance. Cupid and his family are stag shifters, whose mother thought amusing to name after Santa's reindeer.
There is a little danger from the ex just to spice it up. An enjoyable light read.
Anya lives in Boston with her boyfriend and several dogs of varying sizes and levels of mischief. She can't go through a day without chocolate and has an unhealthy addiction to purses, but every girl is allowed her little vices, right?

Anya Nowlan loves growly bears, hot sex and writing about both. The sexier and naughtier the better. She mostly writes paranormal and fantasy novellas and novels, focusing on shifters and their lucky mates. Her stories are often bite-sized, just what you need to soothe that craving for brave women and strong alphas with a big side-order of some smuttiness.
