Murder, Madness and Love. (Detective Quaid Mysteries #1) by Yolanda Reneé My Review.

Sunlight blazes on an empty canvas.

Arctic winds gather snowflakes on a frosty window ledge as a statuesque form appears. She moves past a table littered with papers. Headlines splash news of murder, but it’s the photo of another young woman with features mirroring her own that draws her attention.

A different headline peeks from underneath the Anchorage Times.

Wealthy Businessman Dies in Car Crash … BLACK WIDOW SUSPECTED!

Graphic images swirl through her head and a tear rolls down her cheek. She drifts toward an easel and a trembling hand dips a sable brush into a palette of paint.

The Westminster doorbell chimes. The brush slips and blood-red paint stains the floor.

Detective Steven Quaid waits. His Tlingit, Indian features carved from granite, mask his Irish passion …

Will he arrest her this time?

All fingers point to her guilt.

But, is she guilty of this cunning plot? Or, just a victim of circumstantial evidence?

The door opens …

Steven Quaid is a homicide detective. He gets a call to the murder of a young woman found dead in the snow. She is just the first to die.
Sarah Palmer is known in the press as the black widow. Everyone believes she killed her rich husband, and got away with it. Someone is tormenting her with phone calls and notes.
The killings continue and the tension mounts.
This is a marvellously twisted murder mystery.  Our hero is trying his best, but is distracted by the beautiful widow  he thinks is a cold blooded killer.  Our heroine is cool and calm on the outside, but terrified and alone. Her true friends believe her innocent ,but lots of others believe she is guilty ,including the police. There are so many twists and turns, there is no way to guess who done it. There doesn't seem to be any suspects. Even when you think it's all over, it's not. Settle yourself in for an intriguing read that will keep you interested all the way through.

The Keystone state couldn't satisfy my adventurous spirit, yet Pennsylvania will always be home. Alaska called to me and I answered. I learned to sleep under the midnight sun, hike the Brooks Range, and traveled from Prudhoe Bay to Valdez.
When I left the corporate world to seek my next adventure, writing, this beautiful state and it’s most primal spirit, inspired me to feature Alaska in my newly published mystery trilogy. The wonders, mysteries, and incredible beauty that is Alaska has never left my soul.
The story weaves a rich tapestry of love, obsession, mystery, and murder…
Life is full of many journeys, and I look forward to the next adventure on my bucket list…
Racing in the Indy 500…
Drumming to my own beat…
OR, keeping a pet dragon in my back yard.
After all…anything IS POSSIBLE!
