The attraction between our heroine and hero explodes into life and starts something neither of them could imagine.  They are thrown in at the deep end when hunters come. 
There are lots of magical battles and some devastating losses for our characters to face.  The people behind the scenes also have a big impact on what happens. 
This is the start of what I'm sure will be an addictive series.  This was very exciting and I am looking forward to reading much more of the series.

A wonderful new series full of danger and magic.  The characters are strong and sexy.  There is much more for them to do and lots more stories to come.  I hope.  It's very easy to put yourself in the story and relate to our heroine.  I will definitely be reading every one of this series.  I loved it.

A magical story with wonderful characters, human and animal.  I was drawn in on the first page and found it impossible to put down.  I want to visit the rest of the families involved in the book.  I feel there is much more to come.  I loved every page.

Another passion of mine is reading a good novel. You can find me any winter evening curled up in front
of a crackling fire with a good book, a mug of hot chocolate, and a big bowl of popcorn. While growing up, if I didn’t like the ending of a book, I’d rewrite it, which led to writing my own books.

A hair raising magical romance.
This author's world knows about those with magic blood. Of course as soon as the mortals found out, they  destroyed and confiscated as many magical artefacts as they could get their hands on.
Some witches and spell casters still live in hiding, because many are arrested and never seen again. 

Carman is a witch but has never been able to cast proper spells. Her mother is paranoid about hiding the fact that they are witches.  She works in what is called a library.( not as we know them)  In the vault, in the basement are some very powerful magical artefacts.  Carman also has someone she loves dying from a wicked spell. She is determined to save them.

Dylan is a mortal with a fascination for all things magical.  He works for the Magical Bounty Hunters it's his job to find those who are using illegal magic.
Things are about to change for both of them. The beliefs they had in the way they lived will be challenged, by the magic that surrounds them.
This book is marvellous fun. Lots of humour and hair raising spells. There is a little sex but lots of romance. Our heroine changes a lot during the story, and so does everyone round her. Our hero gets his whole world turned upside down.

This is the first book from this author for me . I will certainly be looking for more.

In most of my writing I like to look for the extraordinary in the ordinary, maybe even a little magic. Then I add a dash of humor, because life shouldn’t be so serious ( Although I do enjoy throwing in the horrific, or heavily sarcastic, villian now and again, because that’s just fun).

As seen in Fated Mates; The Alpha Shifter Boxed Set;

 A vicious attack in the dark of night changes Chloe Jackson´s life forever. This is the beginning of the series, it has got a proper ending. But the story will carry on from there so you must read the books in order. 

Chloe was viciously attacked on her way home from work. She insisted it was a wolf but the doctors and the police won't believe her. 
Gabe introduces himself as a PI investigating her attack.  He seems to turn up everywhere she goes. 
He is not the only one eager to find out the effect of the attack. Her  life is about to be turned upside down and she will lose the only person she cares about. 
Our heroine has a lot to learn about herself and the world she lives in. 
A short but action packed story.  I will be reading the next very soon.

The second book in the series,  they must be read in order because it is a continuing story. Each part does have an ending.  

Chloe is settling in as part of her mate Gabe's werewolf pack.  Not everyone is happy to have her there. Someone is working against her. There seems to be a price on her head. Vampires are being used to abduct her, but who is paying them?  Could it be her father, if so who is he?  It is time for Chloe to find out. 
There are some big surprises in this story , not all are bad. Gabe is over shadowed in this part,  it's more about the truth about Chloe's heritage.  Magical and sexy.

The third part of Chloe and Gabe's story..
The news that her crazy witch  of a mother escaped from the asylum came the night of their wedding.  So instead of enjoying her honeymoon Chloe has been confined to the compound, for her safety.  With her gran trying to help her to use her magic , and Gabe using his own brand of magical distractions  Chloe is still feeling the pressure.  Then she starts to feel sick.
Gabe is getting more and more wound up. With no trace of Chloe's mother,  threats being made , And now his mate is sick.  He is used to fighting what he can see. This could be a magic battle,  so he needs the help of the family they have only just discovered.
Another very sexy and fast paced journey for our newly weds.

 Book 1 in A.K.Michaels new series. The Black Rose Chronicles. If you like your dystopian books with the added bonus of supernatural beings in abundance then this book is for you. 

I was luck enough to receive an ARC but that does not colour my review in any way.

This is a new series, set in a world that has suffered devastation. The supernatural beings are either trying to take control or restore peace, depending on who it is. Rose is half wolf and half witch. Witches have been hunted to near extinction,  so that part of her has to be hidden.  She has gained a reputation as an assassin,  but she will only kill those who have done wrong. Someone has hired her to take out a vampire leader, and tells her a way to get to him. But is it the vampire or her employer who needs to be put down?
Cassius is trying hard to bring peace to all species, by making vampires take responsibility of their progeny.  He also wants to protect any witches that he can. He is an ancient vampire who hates what has happened to the world.
Our heroine has a complicated past. The man who has trained her is very special to her,  but there is something missing in their relationship.

We have a great kick ass heroine, who will not back down from anyone. She has to be in control in all things. Her fights are vicious but very fast. The sex scenes are hot and I know that this is going to be another addictive series from this author. Even if she was cruel with the ending. One way to make sure we are eager for the next book. 

There are also some good secondary characters that I am sure will get their own story.

After the birth of her last child she went back to higher education and studied for a year before gaining employment in the banking industry.
