A Baby For Chashan (Dragons Of Preor) by Celia Kyle as Erin Tate. Sci-Fi/Paranormal Romance. ARC Review

Add To

A mother’s plea, a childless alien’s promise, and a Preor warrior torn between his mate and duty…

After a hundred years of mating, Healing Master Chashan thought he knew all there was to know about his mate, Heart Master Khaza. But the sudden presence of one adorable human baby shows him that he’s very, very wrong.

Now he has a choice: claim a human baby as his own and put joy in his mate’s heart, or turn the child over to human authorities.

Which will he choose? Honor or love?

This short story is set in the DRAGONS OF PREOR world and is a little bite of family life for those who fell in love with the Preor dragons.

This is a short story that I find difficult to describe without spoilers.
Healing master Chashan is a doctor.  He has been studying the human female mates to the dragons of Preor warriors.
Heart master Khaza is Chashan's mate but they have never been blessed with a dragonlet of their own.  When Khaza feels the desperate pain of a female she must go and help.
This will only really make sense if you know the series.  You will need tissues to read it. I'm addicted to this series so must read all of them.

He’s willing to lose his honor to claim her, but first he must save her.

The Preor emperor bestowed honors on warrior Brukr sen Zak’lu centuries ago—honors he does not deserve. Since then, he has fought to prove himself worthy of the emperor’s support. He works to protect and care for the females within Preor Tower no matter how difficult they make his task. One female constantly disregards orders and makes his duty nearly impossible. Hannah—with her flowing hair, teasing smiles, and generous curves—torments him with what he cannot have. He aches for her like no other, his dragon rages when he leaves her side, but without the Knowing stretching between them he cannot claim her. Or can he?

Genetic modifications have changed Hannah’s appearance, but they can’t change her past. To atone, she steps into the spotlight as a spokesperson for Cole-Daven and moves into Preor Tower. Every day she struggles to convince other humans to accept Cole-Daven’s treatment for Pol Mutation. She also fights her attraction to one specific alien Preor. They’re not mates, but everything in her craves the large, muscular, deliciously tempting dragon shifting warrior.

With her exposure to the public, Hannah now has humans after her. Some want to possess her, others want to torture her, and many want to kill her. That is unacceptable to Brukr and he will tell them so… with his war blades.

Hannah den Kelly has started working with the Dragons of Preor to help publicise the cure they have for an illness that has been devastating humans.  The big problem is she has been in witness protection and now she might be found.
Brukr sen Zak'lu is very happy to protect  the beautiful human. This might get him in trouble.   He knows he will never be worthy of a mate.  He carries a heavy load of guilt for his past that seriously effects his feeling of self worth.
Both of our protagonists are having trouble putting the past behind them.
This is part of a series that is best read in order.  It's full of wonderful sexy dragons and lots of humour.  I have been totally addicted to this series since the first book.  They get even better with each one.  I love the way the A.I.  has been given such a cheeky personality,  and the confusion the dragons feel with female human behaviour.
I loved every page.
I look forward to the next book.

Ivoth. (Dragons Of Preor #7) by Celia Kyle as Erin Tate. Sci-Fi/Paranormal Romance ARC Review.

He has to choose—love or honor—because he can’t have both.

Elle may be a Davenport, but she’s finding she enjoys life as a mostly-gray sheep of the Davenport family. She kicked off the Daven Bio uniform and now works for their corporate enemy—Cole Pharma, now headquartered in Preor Tower. She’s got massive, muscular, winged aliens surrounding her from sun up to sun down. But there’s only one Preor warrior who throws her world into a tailspin—Ivoth sen Pezet’li. Strong. Sexy. Sinfully seductive. Hers? No. They don’t share the Knowing, but that doesn’t stop her from wanting him. Bad.

Ivoth made a vow to his sire—the sen Pezet line would not end with him. And yet, when he speaks with Elle, scents her skin, and feels her curves against his hard body, he does not know if he can let her go. He craves her more than any other—perhaps even more than he desires to fulfill his vow—and he knows he must make a choice. Keep Elle and never have dragonlets or leave her and lose his heart forever.

Ivoth has to make a choice, but first, he has to keep Elle alive. Someone wants her dead and Ivoth is determined to kill them first. He only prays to Syh he is successful.

Elle Davenport left her family's business to work with the Dragons, and her father sees it as an act of defiance.  That cannot be permitted.  She knows he is a powerful man who is to be feared, but she will be devastated by how he behaves.
Ivoth  Pezet'li  swore to his father he would find a mate so that his line will not die out,  but the human he is attracted to doesn't set off the "knowing" like she would if she was his mate.  There does seem to be some sort of connection though,  because he knows she is in trouble.
This is part of a series but you don't really have to read them in order,  but you will meet others from the previous books.
This book has it all,  danger,  sexual tension and lots if laughs especially when Charlie is involved and of coarse wonderful fierce dragon shifters.  The characters have very interesting personalities,  and are very stubborn.  I could not put this down.  I loved it just like I have the others in the series.

Taulan joi Lana Coburn, War Master of the Preor third fleet, is finally having his wishes granted. He has a mate and will soon have two dragonlets to protect and love. But only if he can live to see them born. Or, as his Lana says, hatched.

This short story is set in the DRAGONS OF PREOR world and does not stand alone. It should be read after ZADRI and is a little bite of family life for those who fell in love with the Preor dragons.

Part of the "Dragons of Preor" series:

Even though this is only a short story it deserves the five stars.  It is a novella from the Dragons of Preor series. Set just after Zadri's book.
Lana the War Mistress of the fleet is in labour about to give birth to twins.  The first of the babies to be born from Human women and Preor males.  She is a typical woman who wants as little fuss as possible.  She has an incredibly strong bond with her mate,  War Master Taulan.
As a mum I though this was a wonderful way for the oh so superior Preor Dragons to learn a few lessons.  I loved every page.

Zadri: Dragons of Preor #5 , by Celia Kyle as Erin Tate. ARC Review.

What’s a single, pregnant woman supposed to do when her family wants that baby gone? Go to Preor Choosing Station Tau and hope a dragon shapeshifting alien is her mate, of course.

Delaney Cole found her mate among the Preor only to watch him die—through his own eyes thanks to the Knowing. Now, what’s she supposed to do when she discovers that her second mate is the male who’d killed her first? It doesn’t matter that he’s gorgeous, that his peach scales invite her touch, and his thick muscles make her fingers tingle with the need to caress him. She shouldn’t want such a violent, deadly male, but… she does.

Zadri was born a son of Syh, orphaned and unwanted, and he never imagined actually having a mate. Yet, Delaney is his. Yes, he was the one to rip out her first mate’s throat, but now that he has experienced the Knowing with her, he will not let her go. Her lush curves, inner strength, and unborn young belong to him—wholly and until he takes his final flight.

When others attempt to rip her from his life, he will explain the gravity of their error. Slowly. Painfully. He only hopes he can reach her before they escape.

Part of the "Dragons of Preor" series:
Jarek
Taulan
Kozav
Rendan
Zadri

Defence Master Zadri sen Syh has been keeping watch over the pregnant human . She has been unconscious, and suffering nightmares since he killed her mate in battle.  It is not only guilt that has kept him at her side.
Delaney Cole comes from a very wealthy family, but her parent's reaction to her unplanned pregnancy caused her to look elsewhere for help.
This is part of a series that is best read in order to fully understand the characters.  Our hero is a dragon shifter alien from the planet of Preor.  He is also an emotionally damaged and very sexy man.  Our heroine's pregnancy is causing her no end of problems, but all she really needs is acceptance.
An exciting and emotional story from a series that I am hopelessly addicted to.  I loved it.

Rendan: Dragons of Preor #4 by Celia Kyle as Erin Tate. ARC Review.

GOODREADS

Violence is never the answer… unless you’re a Preor warrior.

Rendan sen Tarkan, Offense Master to the Preor Third Fleet, has found his human mate. She is small compared to him, but her curves, delicious scent, and sky blue eyes call out to his soul. He has waited for a female for over two centuries and he will fight—kill—any who dare attempt to take her. Even one of his own males.

One moment Carla Butler was unemployed and the next she was on the Preor battleship, working as a nurse for human-Preor mates. Oh, and the next moment? That was when she found her sexy, alien pink-scaled mate. Then she watched the muscular dragon shifter get beat to hell. And then she was assigned a condo in Preor Tower on Earth. The person in the condo next door? That sexy, alien pink-scaled male.

Learning about the proud alien warrior isn’t trouble free, but it’s easier than almost dying. Yeah, almost. But the Preor who tried to end her life? Well, he doesn’t quit easily. She only hopes Rendan is there to save her when the alien tries to end her life once again.

Part of the DRAGONS OF PREOR series:
Jarek
Taulan
Kozav
Rendan

Carla Butler has started work as a nurse for the humans mated to the Dragons of Preor on their battleship.  Its unusual for an unmated female to be on the ship, but necessary . She is experienced in emergency and obstetrics care. While discussing the main differences in a human pregnancy to the dragon's main healer, a badly wounded male is brought in.
Rendan was wounded when trying to find a battle partner. While he is being treated he realises his mate is in the room.  He is half out of his mind with pain and the female he has never met before is terrified.  He must protect her.
This is the forth in the series, you must have read at least the first book in the series to understand our authors world. Our hero is a dragon shifter alien. These dragons are extremely possessive but also very sexy. Our heroine is not really looking for a mate and she certainly doesn't want a military type.  A very fast paced, action packed story. Filled with danger, excitement and some hot sex. I am totally addicted to this series.

Ps. If you follow the label at the end of this post you can find the others in this series that I have read.

Dragons Of Preor: Kozav. (Dragons Of Preor #3) by Celia Kyle as Erin Tate. ARC Review.

Grace Hall is a nurse, not a doctor. But when five Preor warriors are brought to the emergency room and the doctors don’t do a darn thing for them, she steps forward. Sure, they are aliens with massive wings who turn into dragons whenever they wish, but they still look human-ish. One particular warrior draws her more than the others. His teal wings, muscular body, and pain-glazed eyes have her bouncing between two desires—needing his touch and desperation to heal him. When she’s filled with the knowledge to treat the males, Grace gets to work. She’s going to save the Preor males, even if it kills her. When she loses consciousness after healing them, she realizes it just might.

Kozav sen Aghin, Primary Warrior of the Preor Third Fleet, wakes weaker than a hatchling on the Preor battleship. He’s fully healed yet plagued by a feeling that something is wrong. And something is… Kozav found his mate on Earth and she was left behind—alone and unprotected. Unacceptable. Kozav still carries the guilt for his actions during the great conflict and he is determined not to fail so greatly again. The curvaceous, green-eyed, dark haired human female is his to protect, his to claim and his to keep.

When danger intrudes and someone attempts to take Grace from his life, Kozav is prepared to do whatever it takes to bring Grace back to his side. Even if it means killing one of his own. Or will it be Kozav with a sword through his chest? For Grace’s sake, he hopes not.

Part of the "DRAGONS OF PREOR" series:
Jarek
Taulan
Kozav
Rendan *coming soon*

This is part of a Sci-fi romance series. While you could read this as a stand alone you will enjoy it more if you have read at least the first in the series so that you understand what has happened on Earth.
Grace Hall is a very hard working nurse. He mother is desperately I'll and needs a carer. That means Grace must work as many hours as possible to pay for it. Not everyone on earth is happy with the aliens that have appeared but there is also a lot of technology they are willing to share with our planet .
There has been a big accident and there are badly wounded alien that have been transported to a human hospital. Protocol is to not touch them and send for their own medics.
Kozav is a Primary Warrior of the Preor and a dragon shifter. That makes him incredibly arrogant, even when he is recovering from surgery. He carries guilt for things that he had no control over. He will not allow anyone he considers his responsibility to be harmed.
An action packed sci-fi with danger and laughs.  We can all sympathise with our heroine's desire to smack her mate for his over bearing attitude. And with our hero for his desire to keep her safe. Its very easy to get addicted to this series. The heroes are macho to the extreme and the heroines independent and strong. I loved every page.
