Bridget Olgilvy is the daughter of the "Highland Chronicler". He has been tasked by the King to write the history of the Clans. Everyone wants their brave deeds entered in that book. Unfortunately she has been writing the stories since her father has been ill. If the King finds out a woman is writing them, there could be dire punishment.
Caleb MacKeefe is jealous that his whole family have been written about but not him. Just because he's not a huge warrior like some of them, he has his own talents. The family even tease him about his pet. The delightful Slink.
Never under estimate the little guy.

An exciting story with non-stop action and fabulous characters. If you have read any of the other books in the series you will recognize most of the families involved but you can still enjoy this book on it's own.
