I feel his emotions in living color. As if they are my own.
If he’s angry, I rage with him. If he’s grieving, I do too. When he thinks about the past, I’m right there, walking beside him. I am the window to his soul, and yet, in spite of that, he’s a riddle with no solution.
A puzzle with too many missing pieces.
We always want what we can’t have. All I wanted was some peace and quiet. To fall in love with someone untouched by the magic of Woodland Creek. I craved normalcy.
But not as much as I craved him.
When he returns to town a broken hero, there’s no choice to be made. I will reach him when no one else can. Together, we will face a future he doesn’t want.
Why? Because our love is pure magic.

This book is part of the "Woodland Creek" series. They are all set in the same town, but written by different authors. So we get quite a mix of magical stories. I have included a link to the series page at the end of this post.
Willow Ryker runs the diner in town. She is an empath and has to keep her mental shields up so that she doesn't get caught up in other people's moods. There is one person who she can't keep out. His every emotion colours the world around him. Her chef at the diner doesn´t help. He can read minds, and enjoys tormenting her by telling her what others are thinking
Quinn Dearborn is recently back from Afghanistan. He has been medically discharged because of his PTSD. Now his home town see him a hero, when he sees himself as useless. The nightmares and the sleep walking are the worst. He can´t relate anymore to his high school friends. He feels he is battling against a monster inside himself.
That is all I will tell you about our main characters. They have lots more secrets for you to discover. There are laughs, tears and magic from the "two natured" . I always enjoy my journeys to Woodland Creek. I'm sure you will too.
Jenni Moen lives in Oklahoma with her husband and three crazy, exuberant kids who have the potential to burn the house down at any moment.
When she’s not chauffeuring kids around town, performing her mom duties as a short order cook and maid, or vacuuming for her fastidious husband, she hammers away at her keyboard. Most of the time, she's up to no good, but every now and then a new book is born.
