Hunting a Mate ( Quick and Furry #6) by Celia Kyle & Mina Carter. ARC Review.

Does love at first sniff exist ? Archer and Paige seem to think so. Well , more like Archer says yes and Paige says no. But don´t worry , they´ll work it out in the bedroom.

Wereferret Paige Baxter has an itty-bitty shifting problem. Mainly she spontaneously shifts, and that´s a problem. Her answer is to remain calm, practice yoga, and stay away from anything that could scare her...or surprise her...or arouse her. Of course, the super hottie? hunk of a werecougar? she runs into at the M&M Mating Agency ticks off all three" must never happen at once" boxes.

Paige does what any embarrassed . self respecting woman would do in that situation-- she runs. Unfortunately --or fortunately -- cats love a good hunt. 

The M&M Mating Agency : We deal in matings not chocolate.

This story is hilarious.  Paige is a ferret shifter with a problem.  If she gets scared or even nervous her ferret takes over. To suddenly sprout whiskers can be embarrassing.  She was trying to apply for a job at the M&M mating offices, but that doesn't go well.
Archer has decided to try the mating agency because it worked for his brother. He doesn't even get chance to fill in the paper work when he spots his mate, but she is running scared.
I absolutely love these characters. Paige fits her animal so well. Nervy but fierce.  Her family are not helping her at all. Her mother is a nightmare.
Archer is such a sexy cat, but gentle and loving. His family is one that anyone would love to be part of.
This is only a short story but plenty happens. I can't wait for the next in the series.

Mina was born and raised in the East Farthing of Middle Earth ( otherwise known as the Midlands , England.) and spent her childhood learning all sorts of things generally required of a professional adventurer. Able to ride ,box, shoot, make and read maps, make chainmail and use a broadsword( with varying degrees of efficiency) she was disgusted to find adventuring is not considered a suitable occupation these days.
So, instead of slaying dragons and hunting vampires and the like, Mina spends her days writing about hot shifters, government conspiracies and vampire lords with more that their far share of RAWR. Turns out wanna-be adventurers have quite the turn of imagination after all...
(But she keeps that sword sharp , just in case the writing career is just a dream and she really "is" an adventurer)
The boring part: A full time author and cover artist, Mina can usually be found hunched over a keyboard or graphics tablet, frantically trying to get the images and words in her head out and onto the screen before they drive her mad. She´s addicted to coffee and would like to be addicted to chocolate, but unfortunately chocolate dislikes her.
