Change in The Light. ( Lightbearer Series #4) by Tami Lund. ARC Review. Paranormal Romance.

In the fourth instalment of the Lightbearer series, we shift to Detroit, where pack master Josh Tigre is obligated to take a mate and produce offspring to carry on his family line. Problem is, the woman he falls for is human. According to the rules of the pack, he can never tell her about his true nature, which means at some point, he has to give her up.

Rachel Whitaker is a human woman trying to survive in a world in which it seems the cards are always stacked against her. When she’s forced to seduce Josh in exchange for her own life, the task is no hardship—until she falls for the one she is supposed to help destroy.

Rachel decides to fight back against the man manipulating her life, starting in motion a chain of events that adversely affect two worlds—and she doesn’t even know it.

Rachel Whitaker is working two jobs and still struggling to make ends meet. She stupidly let a man charm her into his room at the hotel she works in, only to find herself in mortal danger. She is then pressured into doing something that will forever change her life.
Josh Tigre took over the pack when his parents died, but as pack master it's his duty to mate a shifter and produce pups. His problem is he wants to mate for love. Someone in his pack is determined to oust him from his position by any means possible.

This is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. Our shifters  in this story can take any form they want, and keep their magic secret from the humans. An exciting romance, with a lot of danger surrounding our poor heroine. Our sexy hero has a lot of responsibility on his shoulders but is strong enough to deal with it. A very enjoyable read.

Tami Lund likes to live, love, and laugh, and does her best to ensure the characters in her books do the same. After they've overcome a few seemingly insurmountable obstacles first, of course.

Into The Light .( Lightbearer Series #1) by Tami Lund. Paranormal/shifter Romance.

They were supposed to be enemies, not lovers. Tanner Lyons is a shifter without a pack, which is just the way he likes it—until he rescues Olivia Bennett, princess of the Lightbearers. Suddenly, he finds himself fighting an attraction that makes no sense, because Lightbearers and shifters have been mortal enemies since the beginning of time. Intrigue, adventure, magic, and passion – you’ll find it all in Into the Light, Book 1 of Tami Lund’s exciting new fantasy series, Lightbearers.

Shifters dominate the human world, while Lightbearers stay hidden away in their magically protected coterie. That is, until Olivia Bennett, princess of the Lightbearers, is captured by the most powerful shifter of them all—Quentin Lyons, who believes that to kill a Lightbearer is to inherit her magic.

His son, Tanner, doesn’t believe his father’s theory. In the ultimate betrayal, Tanner rescues Olivia and vows to return her to her home. Along the way, he discovers two other Lightbearers who have left the safety of the coterie, not to mention an attraction to the Lightbearer princess that becomes increasingly more difficult to ignore with each hour he spends in her company.

The attraction makes no sense. Lightbearers and shifters have been mortal enemies since the dawn of time. He’s supposed to feel the urge to kill her, not … well, you know.

Despite shifters who are out to kill them and Lightbearers who don’t trust them, Tanner and Olivia decide to take the chance and give in to their mutual attraction, only to discover that Olivia’s destiny has been predetermined, and it doesn’t include her shifter lover. They must decide if they are willing to risk it all, or if they can walk away from true love for the sake of the Lightbearer species.

This book in the lightbearer series brings us into the present day. The Lightbearers have stayed hidden for five hundred years,  it's believed by most that they do not exist. There are still a few shifters, one pack in particular that are convinced if you can catch and kill one you will inherit their magic.
Tanner Lyons left his father's pack ten years ago because he could not live with the pack master's obsession and cruelty.
Now his father has found a lightbearer and intends to prove his point.
Olivia Bennett is exploring the outside world for the first time when she is captured by shifters. She has never learned how to defend herself, her magic is failing without sunlight to regenerate.
A wonderful exciting shifter /paranormal romance. We have an absolutely fantastic hero. He has everything you could want in a shifter. The fact that these shifters can take any animal form makes it so much fun. Our heroine does come into her own with her magic. It proves very handy after the fighting has ended. There are a lot of laughs, some very hot sex scenes and incredible fights. The secondary characters are great a d give us the promise of plenty more to come.

First Light , Lightbearer Series,The Prequel. By Tami Lund. Release + ARC Review.

The year is 1512. The Lightbearers have escaped to Mesoamerica in an attempt to hide from the shapeshifters who want to kill them for their magic.

In 1512, female Lightbearers didn't conjure swords, or protect themselves from dangerous shifters. At least, not until Sabine Flemming did just that, because damn it, she didn't want to die.

In 1512, the newest Lightbearer king, James Bennett, was tired of running away every time the shifters attacked. He wanted to fight, but he didn't have enough warriors to protect his people.

In 1512, a shifter named Xander Wulf found a Lightbearer, but he didn't kill her, baffling even himself. But for the first time, he suspected killing wasn't the way to inherit their magic.

Everything changed for the Lightbearers and their mortal enemy, the shapeshifters, in 1512, five hundred years before book one, Into the Light, takes place. Find out what happened to propel into action a sequence of events that have set the stage for the rest of the series.

Other books in the series, in reading order:
Into the Light
Dawning of Light
Light Beyond the Darkness
Change in the Light

We have a very different type of supernatural being in this series. The lightbearers are magical beings who were banished from the Fae realm , and now live in the human realm.  They are constantly having to move because their enemies, the shifters, hunt them to try and steal their magic.
Sabine is a food gatherer like her mother, but is no good at it.  She and her best friend are supposed to be collecting berries, but have found something much more interesting to do.
James is the King of the lightbearers.  He has only held the title for a year and is very worried about protecting his people.
Xander is a shifter and determined to get some lightbearer magic.. He has been told that if you kill one you can inherit their powers.
This is a great start to what I know will be a marvellous series. It has everything, danger, suspense and sex. The characters are strong, brave and sexy. Sabine is a real kick ass heroine.
I can't wait to see how things shape up for all the characters.
