Add To

Greyson Till never found a weapon he didn’t like. As the immortal Master Gunner of a pirate ship, he’s grown his collection for over two hundred years. So when a legendary cursed blade that can cut through any material goes missing from the government’s paranormal artifact vault, he’s eager to retrieve it. Working with the secret division Department 13 has always come with its set of challenges, but this one is the worst yet.

Along with the mission comes fiery, no-nonsense paranormal weapons expert Aura Henderson, who couldn't be less thrilled about this pairing. The last time they saw each other, Greyson accidentally blew her cover, almost killing them both. Worst of all, to get the sword, she has to pose as Greyson's wife. The last thing she needs is to get involved with a sexy grumbly pirate, whether in reality or just pretend.

When they locate the relic, the gilded blade thirsts for blood and things aren’t what they seem. Greyson isn’t sure who to trust anymore, and he’s not about to let death come between them...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Aura Henderson is an agent with a very special and secret part of the government. They look into paranormal or magical items to stop them being used by unscrupulous people.  Our heroine has a strong commitment to protect the American people from things they don't know exist.  She still has nightmares about her own discovery.
Greyson Till is the master Gunner on the pirate ship the Sea Dog.  He and most of the crew are immortal and over two hundred years old.  There is not a weapon that our hero doesn't know how to wield.  The crew of the ship have helped the government team before, always on their own terms of course.
This is a magical story filled with great characters and lots of fun.  There is also a lot of danger, and some hot sexy scenes.
You don't need to have read the other books in the series to enjoy this, but it will certainly tempt you to read all of them.
Great fun.

Pirate's Pleasure (Sentinels of Savannah #3) by Lisa Kessler, Paranormal Romance Release & ARC Review.

No one steals from this pirate...

John Smyth has survived mutinous pirate crews, wars, and the passage of centuries by keeping his life as he did his ships, organized and well stocked. But when his crew is tasked with stealing Pandora’s Box for the government, it opens a door to destruction, and her name is Harmony Andrews.

Harmony is a risk-taking investment broker by day, and a thief by night. As a member of the underground Digi Robins crew, she steals relics to sell on the dark web and donates the money to people without insurance who need life-saving medical treatments. After taking a box from the docks in Savannah, she finds herself being hunted on multiple fronts, but she never expects the chaos trailing her to lead directly to her boss, the sexy, infuriating John Smyth.

The fearless thief has tangled with the wrong pirate, but he will be forced to choose: will he keep his heart safe at port, or follow it into the storm of pleasure.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

John Smyth is the boatswain of the Sea Dog.  A ship that is a copy of the old pirate ship from hundreds of years ago.  The special thing about the ship is that the crew are all the original ones who are now immortal because they drank from the holy grail. They have all hidden the truth with various disguises over the years,  but stay together and still sail when they can.
Harmony Andrews works in the finance world,  trying to make money for her customers, her boss and herself.  She also has a side job as a thief.  The old box she has just stolen will help her raise a lot of money to help people with.
There are a lot of magical artefacts that could be dangerous in the wrong hands.  Our pirates are the obvious ones to see that doesn't happen.  That is going to bring a lot of excitement and danger into our heroine's life.
This is part of a series that is best read in order because of the relationships between the pirates.  I have read and thoroughly enjoyed every one of them.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Workaholic Dr.  Charlotte Sinclair is a historian in the Maritime Museum.  A rare night out at a concert will lead her to enough adventure to last several lifetimes.  She discovers that her home city has lost of secrets and there is even a big one in her own family.
Keegan is the lead singer in the "Scallywags" and an immortal pirate.  He and his crew are searching for the religious relic that changed thier lives.
The government agent that knows there are special people in this world will use anyone and everyone to keep those people and any artifacts from  the reach of the unscrupulous ones.
Lots of excitement and fun in this story. All the characters are fabulous, and very easy to fall in live with. Beware once you start this series you will be hooked.  It is part of a series that is better read in order,  although you could read it on it's own.
I loved it.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Skye Olson is a psychic who runs a fortune telling shop in Savannah.  The shop and the abilities have been in her family for generations.  She is upset over a mistake she feels she should have seen coming.
Colton Hayes is the owner of a pirate ship in the harbour.  The "Sea Dog" might be a replica but he is not.  He was Quarter master on the original.
Our hero and his crew mates have a big secret that could be about to cause them many problems,  especially when they find out they are not so hidden as they believed.
A lovely,  lighthearted,  magical romance.  It is the start of a series,  and while you can read it as a stand alone,  the story will carry through to the next book.
Fun characters that I fell in love with at first sight.
Really good fun,  I can't wait to read the rest.

“Tour’s up on the bow.” A tall shadow fell over her.   She didn’t take her eyes off the river. “I know, thanks.”   His boots thumped on the deck behind her. “I wasn’t givin’ directions.”   She sighed and glanced over her shoulder. Her gaze traveled up his body, way up, to focus on his dark eyes. “I just need a minute.”   He shook his head, crossing his tan muscled arms over his broad chest. “Plenty of minutes are available with the tour. This area’s off-limits.”   He was just doing his job, but her tolerance for men was at an all-time low at the moment. “I’m not going to touch anything.”   His eyes moved to her feet and back to her face. “Seems you already are.”   Heat burned in her cheeks. “What is it with you men thinking you can just make a law and judge us when we question it?” She jammed the ring in the pocket of her jeans. “I’m sick of your shit. So if you want me to move, you’ll have to do it yourself.”   He raised a brow. “You finished?”   His calm only fueled the tempest inside her. “No, actually, I don’t think I am.” She matched his posture: chest out, arms crossed. “My family’s been in Savannah since it was settled. I know the pirate stories, and I didn’t buy a ticket for a tour and ‘swearing in’ ceremony under the pirate mast. Forgive me for wanting a few minutes peace with the Savannah River.”   He pointed to a sign.   Area is for Crew Only   A spark lit in his eyes. “If you’d been sworn in, you might be able to sway me to let you stay.”   She blew out a frustrated breath, her hands falling to her sides. “Look, I just wanted to toss my engagement ring into the river without getting arrested for littering. I figured no one would see me from up here.”   He relaxed his stance a little. “Must be an idiot to allow a fiery lass like you to get away.”   “Please don’t get flirty.” She rolled her eyes. “I’m not in the mood.”   A hint of a smile curved his lips. “Wasn’t flirtin’, just stating a fact.” He glanced over his shoulder. “Speaking of facts, you should pawn the ring. Feedin’ gold to the fish won’t cure heartache.”
