Dommiel was once the high demon who ruled New Orleans.  Now he is a mercenary using his powers as he sees fit.  An old friend has called in a favour. This could get very dangerous. 
Anya is an angel and a warrior in her own right,  but she has a secret that could destroy her.  It could make her do unspeakable things.  There is one archangel who can help her,  but he is in trouble himself.  She needs help to find him,  but can she trust a demon. 
A very exciting story set in a scary world.  Fantastic characters that you can't help falling in love with.  The action will pull you in from the very first page until the last. 
Great fun.

Mikhail is Captain of the Bloodguard.  A force of mercenary vampires pledged to fight for the innocent.  He and his best warriors set about rescuing the princess from her tower. 
Princess Vilhemina has been starved of blood and kept unconscious until the time she will be forced to marry.  The evil Queen needs just one more thing to make her rule absolute.  Our hero and those who think like him will do anything to stop that happening.  He has an extra reason for what he will do that nobody knows.  Our heroine,  like the previous ones might remind you of your favourite childhood tales,  but these are certainly not for children. 
This is the final book in a series that should be read in order. Each book has it's own separate part of the continuing story where the humans and "good " vampires rise up against the madness of the evil queen and her son.  We meet lots of great characters.  Some with magic and some without.  Lots of battles and scary moments along with sexy romance. 
A fascinating series.  I loved it.

Brennalyn Snow is a school teacher and a revolutionary . She also has seven adopted children to look after. 
Friedrich Volya is the vampire Duke of Winter Hill.  He knows there is someone in his area that is printing and distributing leaflets to encourage the humans to rise up against the Vampire aristocracy that rule them. 
Our heroine is a very brave , but a bit naive young woman. She doesn't realize how much danger she is in. 
Our hero lives by his own rules.  Not the way his family think he should. 
The story in this occasionally gets lost in the sex.  It's still an exciting and action packed book.  It's part of a series that I would say you should read in order , so that you know what the revolution is all about.  The heroines all have a slight resemblance to ones you might have read about as a child,  but they are definitely adult stories.

Her friend who founded the Black Lily a group who are rising up against the evil vampire queen in the Glass Tower, has sent someone who can protect her.  

Lieutenant Nikolai was with the royal legionnaires,  but when his Prince left, so did he.  
Now he and Sienna have a very important task to perform for the revolution . This will be extremely dangerous for them and anyone seen with them.  
You cannot help but be sucked in to this story from the first page. You hardly get time to draw a breath . It's better if you have read the previous book in the series to better understand the reasons for the bloodthirsty battles ahead.  There are some very gruesome scenes in this, and you might need tissues near the end.  
A marvelous story.  I loved it and can't wait for the next book.

Prince Marius is the youngest of the royal family and he doesn't mingle much with the lower classes.  He is also dissatisfied with the ways of the vampire aristocracy.
A blood thirsty rebellion,  a very brave heroine and an unlikely romance make this a marvellously entertaining book. The secondary characters are going to be interesting to follow into their own stories.  It is the start of a series that I definitely want to read more of.
