Colwood Firehouse: Jax, by Kim Fox. Paranormal Romance Release & ARC Review.

The one thing that grumpy lion shifter Jax hates more than kids is sharing the remote control for the TV. So, he’s thrilled when he has the firehouse to himself for five glorious days. That is until someone drops off an annoying pink package on the doorstep, and this one isn’t from Amazon…

Violet is an emotional wreck. But what else would she be after she’s forced to abandon her five month old baby at the firehouse? The muscular fireman with the sullen look will take good care of him, right? Right???

With no one to pass the baby off to, Jax is forced to watch it for the weekend. What could possibly go wrong? Babies like steak and beer, don’t they?

Lion shifter, Jax is settling in to enjoy a few days alone. Nobody to tell him what to do and what not to do. All the others from the Colwood firehouse crew are away. He has a reputation as someone who hates kids and never shows his emotions.
Violet is in a severely abusive relationship. The tiger shifter who controls her insisted she give up her son. If she didn't he might have been hurt.
Our hero can't believe how he feels about the surprise he has to deal with.
Our heroine has let fear rule her for too long, it's time to run.
An exciting short story from the Colwood Firehouse series. It should be read in order because the problems the crew face are in order. This one is lots of fun, with laughs, tears and a big cat fight.
I think there can be only one left to complete the series. Start at the beginning and enjoy them all.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC but that doesn´t colour my review in any way.

While you could read this book on it's own, there is a lot of it that will be easier to understand if you read the series in order.
Jax Chandler is the Alpha of New York, and unsurprisingly very powerful. When he escapes from demons who have been torturing him, he finds another captive he must take with him. One that has caused him lots of trouble over the last few years.
Katrina Livingston is the daughter and sister of Alphas and a very dominant wolf herself. She is also terrified that the magic that has tainted her will damage any wolf she might mate with.
There is someone or something draining magic from all the supernaturals it can catch. They must be found and destroyed as soon as possible, but will the wolves, vampires and witches be able to put aside personal differences to get the job done.
Our hero is arrogant and used to everyone asking how high when he says jump. Our heroine is equally used to getting her own way, and finds the idea of obeying a command almost impossible. They need the help of others, friends and foes alike. So they need to learn to play nice. Jake helps them with that. (Insert naughty snigger) .
This is definitely an adult book. Lots of HOT sex scenes. Danger , mystery and magic. I am totally addicted to this series and can't wait for the next book.
