Be tempted by this spectacular Pirates of Britannia adventure!

A governess with a secret…

On the run from a vindictive lord, Leana Fraser connives her way into a privateer’s Highland home, the perfect refuge for a woman who doesn’t want to be found. Given ten days to prove she’s not just another in the string of governesses his precocious daughters have driven away, she takes on the challenge. Resisting their wickedly handsome father’s seductive charm is a far more daunting proposition. Leana knows better than to surrender to temptation. Pity her heart doesn’t agree.

The Devil of the Highlands…

Like his ancestors before him, James MacArron commanded crews of rough and ready pirates, but raising his daughters alone is more challenging than any mutiny. The widowed privateer needs a governess, and fast—yet his gut tells him the spirited beauty who shows up at his door is not entirely what she seems. As the governess wins over his rebellious children, he’s drawn to her, but she’s a temptation he cannot afford. Falling for Leana is out of the question... until an old enemy rears his head, and Jamie and Leana must risk everything to claim their hearts’ desire.

Captain James MacArron doesn't spend as much time at sea as he would like.  He can't risk being away if his family need him.  He made that mistake with tragic circumstances once before.  His past as a privateer could catch up with him again.
Miss Leana Fraser escapes from a bad situation and finds away to hide in the far reaches of Scotland. She needs the job as governess to two mischievous little girls.  She must persuade their father to let her stay.
An emotional and very enjoyable story with fabulous characters.  There is a little danger to spice it up.
Good fun.

Award-winning author Tara Kingston writes historical romance laced with intrigue, danger, and adventures of the heart. A Southern-belle-out-of-water in a quaint Pennsylvania town, she lives her own love story with her real-life hero and a pair of deceptively innocent-looking kitties in a cozy Victorian. The mother of two sons, Tara’s a former librarian whose love of books is evident in her popping-at-the-seams bookcases. It goes without saying that Tara’s husband is thankful for the invention of digital books, thereby eliminating the need for yet another set of shelves. When she’s not writing, reading, or burning dinner, Tara enjoys movie nights, cycling, hiking, DIY projects, collecting dolls, and cheering on her favorite football team.
