Title: House of Theoden, Season Two
Series: The New Haven Series
Author: Nicholas Bella
Genre: Dark Gay Paranormal
Tour Host: DRC Promotions
Théoden: On the evening of branding my new son, Noel, my King has called a special meeting of his Court. I can't possibly guess what this meeting is about, as everything within his kingdom is running perfectly. I do know one thing, Ara loves to entertain and be entertained, so at least that's something to look forward to. What I'm not looking forward to is having to see Nolan, Lord of District Four. We really don't get along. Well, as for my children, when the Master is away, the boys will play. In fact, I insist on it.
Noel: I've just received my official brand, the insignia of the House of Théoden. Along with the brand comes a load of responsibilities I am to adhere to. Apparently, my new life involves being an enforcer.
I'm to be trained by Marco, my eldest and most sadistic brother. I'm not looking forward to that, not one bit. At least tonight, I'll get a reprieve. For tonight, we celebrate as only the House of Théoden can.
Warning: This serial contains strong adult content not meant for sensitive eyes. The novelettes in this serial will be filled with dark, twisted, raunchy and steamy scenes between powerful, sexy men that will either offend you or get ya revved up. This series will not be pulling any punches, and it won’t apologize for hurting your feelings, either. You’ll find no fluff and ruffles here. The vampires are not misunderstood, hopeless romantics looking for love. The werewolves are not cute and cuddly and the dragons aren’t the ones from your childhood. This is NOT a romance. There are approximately 19,100 words in this novelette.
Théoden: Tonight, I have to make one of the hardest decisions of my life. I have to choose which two on my children to send off with my Sire, my King, Ara. As you know, I don't like to share what belongs to me, but I can't deny my King what he's commanded of me. The highlight of my evening, however, will be my ascension to Prince of the City. I'm expected to announce my own decree at tonight's ceremony and I can't wait. The citizen of the Kingdom of Ara WILL respect my rule... or else.
Noel: I got a break last night when Théoden allowed his sons some free time. But Tonight is going to be no walk in the park for me. Marco is all business and he doesn't take his job of training me lightly. I'm still trying to figure out what I can and can't do around him, the cruel, sadistic bastard is so unpredictable. One thing is for certain, I want to learn what it means to be a vampire. I don't want to be ruled by my nature... I want to control it.
Theoden: I am now the official Prince of the City. The reins have been handed over and I am now fully in control. My first order of business is to fortify the defenses of my territory. Thanks to my King, Ara's decree, my plate is exceptionally full. I have to solidify an alliance with Celestial Dragon King, Evander. I also have to make a new alliance with Wolf Alpha, Deacon. That meeting can either end bloody or amicable. Wolves are a stubborn sort and savage in their quest for more power. This night should prove to be very interesting.
Noel: Marco doesn't play, and he's going to make me regret my foolish decision. I should have listened to Derek. I know not to cross the mean bastard now. This night has been so busy: Theoden's ascension, my training, what happened at the bar, and on top of that, I still have a punishment looming over me. I haven't even begun to search for a human to sire. Hell, I don't even know how? Do I just grab some unlucky bastard off the streets and say, "hey, I'm your new vampire daddy!" This is so messed up, I don't even want to sire anyone, but I have no choice. Also, because I'm Theoden's son, that makes me a General, which I believe is a higher rank than Enforcer. What that means, exactly, I'm not sure... but I know I'll find out sooner or later.
Théoden: Far be it from me to refuse an invitation from the Celestial Dragon King, Evander. Besides, what's the point of living forever if you can't have fun? A little distraction would serve me well. I still had so much to do this night. Children to Sire, a rebel hybrid to hunt down and a test to conduct with Noel that would surely elevate his status in my eyes. That is, if he passed. Apart from that, there was this matter of hunting Dante. Sure, I enlisted the assistance of wolf Alpha, Deacon, but I didn't want to leave the hunt of Dante solely up to him and his pack, especially with the price being so high. I do know one thing, Dante better be worth it.
Noel: My training with Marco is advancing and the more I learn about what I am, the more I discover who I am. Maybe Théoden had a point when he told me that being a vampire is what I wanted. I don't know. I do know that I find myself enjoying the powers and strength I possess. He really is making me into the vampire he wants me to be. I realize that even more now as I try to figure out who I should sire and why. This person will be my child, an extension of me. How do I want to be represented?
Théoden: Dante is within my grasp. I'm actually very excited to meet my future son. He's got wolf's blood flowing within his veins, so I know he'll be the stubborn sort, but I do like a challenge. As for Deacon, the wolf Alpha has surprised me. I hadn't expected him to locate Dante so quickly. He's a cunning one I'm going to have to keep my eye on. His ambition is both admirable and dangerous. As for my King's decree, things are moving along smoothly. I have two more children to sire and then I would have fulfilled my duty. The sooner I'm done with that, the quicker I can get to training my new child. I'm so looking forward to breaking him in.
Noel: As for my obligation to the King, I met his expectations. I've sired my first son and it's been one hell of an experience. I thought I would feel overwhelmed, but Romeo is taking to this life so naturally. I guess you could say that I chose wisely. I'm also getting the hang of being in control and being his Father. No doubt, Marco's training is seeing me through a lot of transition. Now, I have to hold up my part in the bargain Théoden made with Deacon. Can't say I'm happy about being used as a bargaining chip, but it's out of my hands. As for my training with Marco, he's promised to put me through the ringer physically. I'm ready to learn more and grow stronger.
