Tensions sizzle in this electrifying novel guaranteed to capture your heart and take your breath away. Fans of Julie Garwood, Suzanne Brockmann and Jayne Ann Krentz will devour this action-packed, emotionally stunning tour de force, where every page reveals another damning secret and daring gamble.
Rotting in an African dungeon is the last place journalist Tess Newell expected to find herself. As she's held hostage by the terrorist group she's investigating, Tess's salvation--and temptation--arrives in the form of another prisoner. A French Foreign Legionnaire with a sinful smile and too many secrets to be anything but dangerous. Yet she knows he's her only hope of surviving.
The Legion is the only family Flynn has. His sanctuary and his purgatory, after years spent in hell. When a mission goes south and Flynn is captured, it's not the enemy that worries him, but the brazen, alluring reporter whose prying questions threaten to bring down his world--and the walls he's built around his heart.
Yet after a daring escape, Flynn must risk it all and go on the run with Tess to retrieve the evidence she needs. The chemistry between them threatens to detonate but, with the enemy fast closing in, time is running out to unravel the truth from the lies in this deadly conspiracy…

Tess Jewell is a journalist who has been kidnapped because the story she was chasing is so big it could topple governments.  She has been told she will be executed live on television.  Her kidnappers have already tortured her to find out where the proof of her story is hidden.
Flynn is a soldier with the French Foreign Legion,  an army that asks no questions about the past lives of it's recruits.  They are expendable and sent into places nobody else will go.  He was taken by terrorists who want to use him to stir up trouble.  Little do they know he will never be claimed by any country.
The danger our protagonists face from the first to the last page will keep you on the edge of seat all the way through.  They will battle impossible odds and still find time for an explosive romance.
A very exciting, action packed story.

“We’re stealing the truck? Great.” Her feet ached at the promise of respite. From the cab, a phone ringtone sang out. “No, we’re not.” “What? Why?” “Because there’d be a chase and we’d lose. We’ve been through this before—we have to do what they don’t expect.” “We could drive with no lights, be long gone before they realized.” “They’re already coming.” “What?” He nodded along the tree line. In the distance, a pair of headlights was zigzagging—a vehicle, turning. A low hum reached her ears, in stereo sound. She glanced over her shoulder. “There’s another one, coming from behind.” “Here,” he said, handing her the goggles. “Find me the biggest rock you can carry, and quick.” She pulled them on. No point asking about his plan. He disappeared around the far side of the truck. The driver’s door squealed open. A rock. A big rock. The goggles made everything green and screwy. She couldn’t tell a stick from a snake. She shoved them up to her forehead, and blinked. The truck started up and maneuvered around. Was Flynn planning to drive it away, draw attention elsewhere while she escaped on foot? The headlights closed in—three pairs, now. The truck idled. She swallowed past the lump in her throat. Whatever his plan, she’d feel better if they stuck together. “How are you doing with that rock?” Flynn called. She focused back on the ground. Stones, stones, stones…rock. She heaved it up and staggered back toward the truck, swaying. Flynn had turned the truck so it faced the wasteland. He was shoving something big and solid into the driver’s seat, lit by the internal light. Psycho’s body? Flynn picked up the trussed guy’s rifle and jammed it through the steering wheel, then pulled the wheel. It didn’t budge. He ran up. “Give me the rock, quick.” Gratefully, she rolled it into his arms. Another minute and the nearest reinforcement would be upon them. She raised her rifle at it, as Flynn climbed in the passenger side. A thump, a clack. What was he doing? The truck whined as it started moving, then accelerated quickly. Oh God, he was leaving. Something fell from the passenger door—Flynn. He hit the ground, balled up, rolled to his feet, then sprinted to catch up with the straining vehicle. What the…? Legs pumping into a blur, he reached out and shoved the flapping passenger door. It slammed. The internal light revealed Psycho’s silhouette, his head slumped. It timed off. “Get down!” Flynn yelled over the roars of several engines. This time she obeyed instantly. As the truck gained speed, a set of headlights swept the ground two feet from her nose. Crap. The approaching truck spun out, tires scraping against stones, and accelerated. Chasing Psycho. The other two pairs of headlights veered away and joined the pursuit. Genius. After a minute Flynn leaped up, his head snapping around like he was looking for something. “Can you run?” “Yeah.” What option was there? She could internalize a bit of pain. Flynn had bought them another chance. Now it was she who had the urge to kiss him. SBPR-BK-EoT-AN

“O.M.G., O.M.G.! Just finished U-Turn. Holy freaking sh*t, I don't have words at the moment... or breath!!! So I'm pretty sure Leaona Luxx is getting to insert an evil laugh or two at this very moment…”
“I told Lea I wasn't sure about this book. I wasn't sure I could read a story about someone I hated sooo much. I should have had faith, she said it was going to be worth it. It was... And more so. I had tears just waterfalling down at the end.”
That’s all she is and all she’ll ever be.
What in the hell was I thinking getting involved with her?
Everyone knows her reputation precedes her.
But I’ll be damned if I don’t like it.
Hurricane Ava crashes to shore wreaking havoc, the beautiful disaster she is.
And I love it.
What’s worse, she does too.
So, why am I in love with her? Because, she loves me.
She just doesn’t know it yet.
I find myself halfway home when I do a U-turn. I hit the gas, speeding toward Myrtle Beach. My tears fall once again as I think of him leaving and I’m not the last person he sees. I need to be the last thing he sees. The fissure my heart has suffered begins to quake as I pray I make it back to him.
I park at the airport entrance, racing through every checkpoint I can before actually yelling, “He’s leaving. I have to tell him I love him.” The airport officials have mercy on me when I explain he’s a soldier and I’m crazy for him. “He may not make it back, he’s deploying.”
Pointed in the right direction, I sprint to his departure gate. His family standing close by the window, I know then he’s already boarded. I push past several onlookers to the wide expanse of glass standing between us.
I search, switching between his family and the plane, to gauge where he will be. My chest constricts as I get a glimpse of him for the first time in fatigues. He’s breathtaking. As my pride swells, I lay my hand on the window, reaching for him.
I begin to lose hope when his eyes suddenly dart to me. A smile growing on his face as I fight to dry mine. The plane begins to roll, and I follow it, never moving my hand from the clear barrier. When Riley raises his hand, pressing it against the glass, I fall to my knees.
My eyes never leave his face nor does my hand break our connection. I stay there as he taxi’s down the runway and lifts off. Leaving me. I push against the glass with both hands, hoping beyond all things I could break it and run after him.
I sit against the window, clutching my chest as if my heart has fallen from it until Walker picks me up from the floor. He carries me from the building, my life in ashes. Walker sits with me until I regain some semblance of composure. I’m not ever far from plummeting over the edge again.
