Jax

I have a big happy family connected by blood and love. I had sworn off women for the last couple of years because of what one female had done but then she walks in. She’s a natural brunette that has hair down her back and a body that dreams are made of. I fell hard, then one unpredictable disaster struck. How do I make it right again?
Ria
After a very troubled past, I am content with my life. Through love of family and counseling I pulled myself out of the darkness. I finally meet the man of my dreams and then the unthinkable happens. Ghosts from my past have come back to haunt me. Is it real or just coming from my subconscious? Can I trust myself enough to let Jax into my life, or are we both to damaged? Do I trust my ‘dream man' to save us both?

Goodreads Review - “Wow! What an amazing debut book for Author Penny Anglene.”
2 Chicks and a Book - “For a first time author I feel like Penny killed it!”
Author Vera Quinn - “Penny Anglene hit a homerun with her first book for me.”

“What the hell?” I pause. “Why would you interrupt?” I ask her.
“Because Pete called and wanted to know who you were dry humping on the front porch,” she replies with a grin. “Pete said he’ll have to come over if he gets another complaint from your neighbor.” She giggles.
“Who the fuck is Pete?” snarls Jax.
“Pete is Debbie’s brother, who in turn is kind of like my big brother,” I tell him.
“Why would Pete say he would come over if he got another call from the neighbor?” he asks.
“Because Pete is one of the local deputies in town,” I state.
By this time, I am ready to harm someone. I mean hell, I know I’m outside, but it’s my porch. They can look the other direction. Nosey old lady, she’s just jealous. I know she is. I am not making her anymore cookies. I see Mrs. Franks outside her door and yell at her that I am not making her anymore cookies.
She yells back that I will. “I hope you got an eye full Mrs. Franks,” I yell at her again.
She starts cackling like an old hen. “I sure did, and it looked hot. Will you take me for a wild ride, young man?” she asks before she turns and goes back inside.
