Only the best are chosen to breed.

The rest are loaded onto carts and taken away from the encampment.  Never to be seen again.

Trinity has one week to escape into the forest and discover the fate of her kind.

Dive into the Lake of Sins and discover a world filled with human-animal hybrids where predators are friends and monsters aren't nearly as scary as those who create them.

The YA, dark fantasy series people are calling dark, gritty and too disturbing to put down.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Ooh what a strange,  scary but exciting world in this book.
Trinity is our heroine and she has been brought up as a "producer" but is actually part "house servant" . That means she has to keep her fangs and claws hidden from the other producers.  Each year a selection of teenagers are chosen to be mated and others are put on the harvest list and taken somewhere else.  Trinity is determined to find out where that is,  and what happens.
So begins a dangerous adventure into the wild and very scary world outside the camp.  The creatures she will meet are not like anything we have heard of before.  Her personality will change the normal behavior of some.  What she learns will amaze you.
The start of a new series that I will certainly be following.
I loved it,  very different.

About the Author

L. S. O’Dea grew up the youngest of seven in a family that uses teasing and tricks as an indication of love (or at least that’s what she tells herself).  Being five years younger than her closest sibling often made her the unwilling entertainment for her brothers and sisters.

Before she started kindergarten her brothers taught her how to spell her first and middle name—Linda Sue.  She was so proud she ran into the kitchen to tell her mother.  She stood tall and recited the letters of her name:  L-E-M-O-N   H-E-A-D.

Perhaps, she has her siblings to thank for the demons that whisper through her mind and help to create these dark and demented stories.

  3. Really, really love these books. Wasn't sure about all the romance in book 3 but then book 4 blew my mind and I realised why there was so much emphasis on the romance. Definitely my new favourite Author and previously my favourite Author was Steven Ericsson because the characters in his books are alive like the ones in these. I want this series to go on forever :)

  4. Not sure if my previous comment went through because at that point I didn't have a Google plus profile. But definitely my new favourite Author. Loving the scope of this world and can't wait for the next book to be published
