Detective Jessica Sharpe has recently been promoted to homicide.  This new case is her first as lead. She knows it's going to be a real pain because of who the victim is,  and the state of him. 
Euros Desard is a journalist,  in the human world.  He is also a Mage gatekeeper.  He is supposed to make sure no beings pass through the portals between the realms.  Our heroine will face much more than just an ex boyfriend who she will have to work with. The hero has to try and explain his world to have any chance of saving both worlds. 
This is a marvellous murder/mystery with lots of magic flying about,  and such fast action you might need to buckle in.  It has all the tension of a police procedure book with the added magic.  I hope there will be a series coming from this story .
