Bootcamp Of Misfit Wolves (Vanguard Elite #1) by Annie Nicholas. My Review.

Add To

Ian’s alpha tosses him out of his car at a training camp for worthless and weak wolf shifters run by a crazy vampire.

His only choice is to escape and go lone wolf.

Until he runs into Clare…

She actually volunteered for this gig.

Her wolf is all alpha but it’s crammed into a petite package, and she definitely has no mercy when it comes to him.

The work is hard.

The training dangerous.

Surviving is optional.

Clare can’t stand Ian’s disregard for her authority and he hates her driven ambition.

Sparks fly and teeth are bared. Opposites attract they say.

If they don’t kill each other first.

An ancient vampire called Pallas is running a boot camp for wolves.  Pack alphas send him their trouble makers or unwanted pack members.  It's his job to turn them into an elite fighting force.
Clare chose to come to the camp.  She doesn't want the life her alpha father expects her to live.  She is far to independent to be kept barefoot and pregnant.
Ian is a turned wolf who has caused nothing but trouble for his pack.  He doesn't follow orders well,  so this camp is going to be torture for someone.
A very exciting story that starts a new to me series.  I'm hooked already.  The characters are fabulous. Even the tough task master Pallas.  I see hints of a romance for him in between the lines.  I can't wait to read the next book in the series.  I loved every page.

Annie Nicholas hibernates in the rural , green mountains of Vermont where she dreams of different worlds, heroes, and heroines. When spring arrives the stories pour from her, in hopes of sharing them with the masses one day.
Mother, daughter, wife are some of her hats she happily wears while trudging after her cubs through the hills and dales. The four seasons an inspiration and muse
