Cyborg Revealed (Zodiac Cyborgs #2) by Mina Carter. Sci-Fi Romance Release & ARC Review.

Add To

Sometimes the best place to hide, is in plain sight…

Johnny makes a living on the strip circuits. His most popular routine? The Aries 7000. Bronzed and oiled, he pretends to be the scourge of the universe, one of the deadly and outlawed zodiac cyborgs. But Johnny isn’t really a stripper playing a cyborg... he’s a cyborg playing a stripper.

Milly, a freighter captain, has had a thing for the sexy stripper for months. But when Johnny, the subject of many of her hottest fantasies, asks her out to dinner, she runs. All is not lost, however; a chance encounter yields an Aries 7000 sexbot, hers for a weekend of pleasure.

It seems too good to be true. Sex with the man of her dreams without risking her heart. But Milly’s bot has some secrets…secrets that could save her life when the past returns to haunt her.

NB: This title was previously released as Aries Revealed with another publisher and has not been altered significantly.

Johnathon Howe is a cyborg  hiding in plain sight.  He is on stage as stripper Johnny Ram playing the role of a cyborg.  His screaming fans approve,  but there is one in particular that he can't keep his eyes off.
Milly Locke is the owner / captain of a space cargo ship, with a crush on a stripper and a love of toys.  She has escaped from an abusive marriage.  He ex is a dangerous man who thinks he is above the law,  and is not happy about his loss.
An absolutely scorching hot book.  Who knew cyborgs could be so sexy.  The story line is very exciting and moves at warp speed.  The fight scenes are almost as heart pounding as the sex.
I loved every page.

Mina was born and raised in the East Farthing of Middle Earth (otherwise known as the Midlands, England) and spend her childhood learning all the sorts of things generally required of a professional adventurer. Able to ride, box, shoot, make and read maps, make chainmail and use a broadsword (with varying degrees of efficiency) she was disgusted to find that adventuring is not considered a suitable occupation these days.

So, instead of slaying dragons and hunting vampires and the like, Mina spends her days writing about hot shifters, government conspiracies and vampire lords with more than their fair share of RAWR. Turns out wanna-be adventurers have quite the turn of imagination after all...

(But she keeps that sword sharp, just in case the writing career is just a dream and she really *is* an adventurer.)

The boring part: A full time author and cover artist, Mina can usually be found hunched over a keyboard or graphics tablet, frantically trying to get the images and words in her head out and onto the screen before they drive her mad. She's addicted to coffee and would like to be addicted to chocolate, but unfortunately chocolate dislikes her.

Her Empath (Zodiac Cyborgs #0.1) by Mina Carter. Sci-Fi Romance ARC Review.

Add To

Even a rogue can be brought to heel by love.
Lyssa Ryland is the rogue of the fleet. Feared and wanted by half the admiralty, no one can control the redheaded General. Half-human, half alien, her nature has made her tough and years of war have given her a backbone of steel. Commanding one of the most fearsome battleships in the fleet and friends with the largest mercenary clans in the galaxy, no one dare mess with her.
He must walk into the lion’s den...
JJ is the sacrificial lamb. One of the fleet’s Empaths, he’s been tasked with controlling Lyssa and bringing her back under the authority of the Fleet. Expecting a dried up, crabby nun of a woman, JJ takes the chance for a one night stand on the base the night before his new assignment…
Only to find out the unforgettable woman he spent the night with is none other than his new assignment. And this time, she’s not welcoming him with open arms… Between the pressure from the powers that be, a mission gone wrong and a homicidal cyborg, can JJ convince Lyssa that this time his seduction is genuine?

๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ

General Lyssa Ryland is a career marine and a Telation /Human mix. That makes her part snake.  She commands a starship for the Combined Fleet.  Lyssa is not happy with her latest orders yo take an Empath on to her crew.
Commander Jacob James "JJ" Meyers  has been told to use any means to control the woman in control of one of the Fleet's best starships.  She is too powerful otherwise.
This is a novella but it has so much happening in it, it feels like a full size book.  Our heroine is a truly kick ass female used to being in command.  That can be a lonely life.
Our hero can usually get into anyone's mind and get them to do what he wants.  That makes things too easy.
This is a prequel for a series that I will definitely be reading.
I loved it.

Cyborg´s Price (Zodiac Cyborgs #1) by Mina Carter. Sci-Fi Romance ARC Review.

Add To

He's one of the most dangerous creatures in the galaxy... so why can't she keep her hands off him?

A junior nurse aboard the Combined Fleet Ship Valkyrie, Samara's days are usually filled with minor bumps and scraps and the occasional health or workspace check. But when a dangerous prisoner is transferred aboard, she finds herself on brig duty. Dealing with the big, lethal looking military grade cyborg should be terrifying, but one look into his green eyes and she can't think of anything other than what his big, hard body would look like under the grey ship suit...

She's small, soft...and his enemy. He should keep his hands to himself and forget her.

Captured and en route to a medical facility for dissection and study, cyborg Lyon expects nothing but pain and degradation from his captors. But Samara isn't like the others, treating his wounds with care and igniting a fire deep within. When she neglects to ensure his cuffs are locked tight, all hell breaks loose. A hot, sensual hell against the cell wall. When his team arrives, Lyon knows he should walk away...but he can't. His little human has gotten under his skin. He'll take her as payment for his suffering, keep her in his bed and pleasure them both for as long as he has breath left in his body.

However, the universe, and the Fleet, have other ideas. A tracker on board brings a horde of fleet ships down on their heads.
Can Lyon and Samara survive betrayal, a fleet attack and their own suspicions, or will their happily ever after disintegrate under fire?

NB: THIS TITLE WAS PREVIOUSLY RELEASED WITH ANOTHER PUBLISHER AND HAS NOT BEEN SUBSTANTIALLY ALTERED OR EDITED IN ANY WAY.

The cyborg, Lyon has been captured by humans.  He knows it's only a matter of time before his crew will rescue him.
Samara is a human medic,  she has to patch up the cyborg after the questioning he is subjected to.  How so called humans can treat another living being so badly astounds her.
This is a good sci-fi romance that looks like the beginning of a series.  Our brave heroine is a lot stronger than our hero thinks.  Lots of danger,  adventure and smoking hot sex scenes.
I want to read more of this series.
