Jessamine De Montfort is the youngest of six siblings. Although she has always been treated exactly like the rest,  she knows she was adopted and maybe that's why she hasn't found love like all the others.  If love can't find her,  she will just have to go and look for it.  Returning home from two years at war for the King,  Sir Marcus de Harte finds everything changed.  He also knows if he stays he might kill his own father.  He needs time to come to terms with it all,  so he leaves.
Our strong and independent heroine really enjoys her adventure.  She finds out a lot about what she is capable of and who she is.  Will she find love???
Our hero is a good man with a lot on his mind.  Pretending to be just an ordinary man instead of the son and heir of a Baron let's him relax enough to face what he has to accept.
A very romantic and at times emotional story.  It's part of a series but each book can easily read on it's own.  Every one of them will tempt you to read the rest.  I have loved them all.

Tristan Therolde,  the Earl of Leventhorpe is trying desperately to rebuild his home.  The peasant rebellion cost him nearly everyone in his family.  Once he finds a good husband for his sister he will have nobody left to worry about.  The horses he is about to buy will help him make something of his estate.
Nan de Montfort is helping at her cousin's keep.  She is training his archers.  As a de Montfort she has had a very liberated upbringing,  full of love and trust. A lot of men think a woman is only good for breeding with. Respect is something she is used to earning. The cold,  but handsome Lord  attracts her,  but his attitude repels her.
Our hero is terribly sad and has no idea how to change it.  Our brave heroine demands her life will be just like her parents.
More wonderful strong characters to add to a fabulous family.  I have read and enjoyed every book in this series.  They are all exciting, action packed and sometimes emotional stories.
I loved it.

Join Hal and Elinor as they learn about each other and what counts most in life.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lady Elinore Swan was banished from her family home as a child.  The estate falconer took her in and taught her all he knew.  Her memories of her early childhood remain and ensure she has no confidence in herself.
Sir Hal de Montfort finds himself on the wrong side when the young King Richard faces rebellion.  Feeling shamed and being completely unarmed he begins the long walk home.
An emotional story about a brave and independent young woman making the most of a very hard life.  Our hero comes from a large loving family , and he knows exactly what he had found.
This is a book easily read on it's own but it's linked through family ties to the rest of this great series.  Once you read one of the books you will be totally hooked and want to read the rest.
I have loved every one of them.

Lady Rosalyne Parry has been brought up and trained by her uncle. He is an artist who is quite successful,  painting portraits for the rich and famous and several works for the church.  Unfortunately he has a health problem that puts their livelihood at risk.
Sir Edward de Montfort is a member of the King's guard.  He has been sent to investigate a problem in the cathedral city of Canterbury.  Someone is lining their own pockets at the expense of the Crown.  That is definitely not allowed.
Our characters are young adults that have been forced by circumstance to grow up quickly.  Our hero comes from a large loving family that have been in service to the Crown for generations.  Our heroine has nobody except her beloved uncle and a big secret to keep. There are a lot of very interesting historical facts about the painting process to go with the lovely romantic story. Wonderful characters you can't help but fall in love with.
This is from a series of books that can each be read on their own,  but are better read in order.  I have read and loved all of them.

When the young King Richard the second came to the throne he needed the most trustworthy men for his personal guard.  Sir Ancel de Montfort was honored to be given the duty.
When the peasants revolt takes place many of the nobility are killed by the rebels.
Lady Margery Osmond is little more than a slave in her stepfather's house.  He and his sons are vicious bullies. This behaviour will seal his fate.
This is an exciting journey into a troubled time in English history.  Our wonderful hero has got a lot of travelling and organizing to do.  Luckily he is well equipped to deal with it all.
Our heroine is a lot braver and stronger than she would ever have believed.  She needs to be.
You will be pulled into the lives of our characters and enjoy every bit of it.
This is part of a series,  but each book can be read on it's own.  They are linked by the family involved in each book.  I have read all of them and they are all marvellous books.

At just twelve years old Lady Alys de Montfort is the most sought after healer in the royal court.  Unfortunately even she cannot save her beloved queen.  It's time now to go home to her family.
Christopher (Kit)  Emory has come back from the disastrous war in France.  He finds there are a lot of the most important people in the land, and his family extremely ill.  There is one person he remembers from his time at court a few years before,  maybe she can help his mother.
Our incredible heroine suspects who her latest patient might be, but if she tells him, it might slow his healing and she would have to share him.  Our hero has always been very impetuous,  throwing himself into things before thinking about the consequences.
This is part of a series, but easily read as a stand alone.  If like me,  you have read the previous stories, you will recognize the family.  They are all wonderful and strong characters.  I like to think this really was what life was like. A thoroughly enjoyable historical romance with lots of action and excitement.  Who do we get next,  Ancel maybe???
I loved it.
