⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lady Gemma Barton needs to persuade her best friend to marry her before her father marries her off to an old man.  The problem is her friend doesn't love her that way and is about to leave for the war.
Mr Burke Nicholson works as a spy for the British . He and his partner are in very perilous conditions.
This is a very exciting story, full of danger and intrigue.  Working as a spy is always dangerous, but could it be even more so in London than on the continent??  Our brave and very clever heroine is nothing like the Lady most of the "ton" believe her to be.  Our roguish hero has given a lot for his country's war effort.  Has he got the strength to give more??
Although this is part of a series you can easily read it on it's own.  You will meet some characters from the previous book but not enough to spoil it if you haven't read it yet.
I loved every page.
