Dragon Knight´s Shield. ( Dragon Knights #4) by Mary Morgan. ARC Review.

Angus MacKay, leader of the Dragon Knights, failed his brothers and his clan upon the death of his sister. Now he must fight the darkness of despair tempting his soul. Back on Scottish soil, he comes face to face with Deirdre who can wield a sword as mightily as his warriors, and takes her captive. Yet, with each passing day, the fire dragon inside him roars to claim the one woman fate has destined for him.

Famed mystery writer, Deirdre Flanagan, is unprepared for the next chapter in her life. On a vacation to Scotland, she steps through the mists and enters into a skirmish alongside a Highlander. However, the fight has only begun, and now she must battle Angus as well as evil in order to claim the love of this Dragon Knight.

Will their love be powerful enough to shield them from danger, or burn them to ashes?

Another absolutely marvellous time-travel  story.  I love this series.

Deirdre Flanagan is a successful author.  She has trained in lots of different forms of martial arts,  only for research purposes of course. Now she is off on a tour Ireland and Scotland that her friends bought her for her birthday.  The highland mist will take her further than she thinks.

Angus MacKay is a Knight on the tourney circuit , but rumours of evil stalking his homeland will draw him home. He has a small advantage when he fights, he can summon fire.  He is the eldest of the Dragon Knights who must regain  their full magic to defeat the evil Druid.

This book kept me enthralled from the very first page to the last. Lots of adventure (especially for Deirdre ) , magical battles ,and a wonderful romance. Our heroine is a very strong, kick ass, warrior woman. Our hero is a typically stubborn Highlander, but a lovely sexy one.

This book is the fourth in the series, and it is best to read them in order. I am very happy that there is at least one more book to come.

I am a constant daydreamer and have been told quite often to remove my head from the clouds. Yet, this is where I find the magic to write my stories. Not only do I love to weave a good tale, but I have a voracious appetite for reading. I worked for Borders Books for almost fourteen years. Imagine my delight to be surrounded by so many books, talking to others about them, and getting paid. Pure bliss!

I have traveled to England, Scotland, Ireland, and France. There are those who know me well when I say, “My heart is in the Highlands.” I believe I have left it there, or maybe in Ireland.

When not writing, I enjoy playing in my garden–another place where magic grows. Of course, there is time spent with my family. They are the ones that keep me grounded.

                                         OTHER BOOKS IN THE SERIES.

  1. Thank you so much, Petula for your lovely review and for hosting me today on your blog! I'm thrilled that you enjoyed Angus and Deirdre's story. It was a journey for the oldest Dragon Knight and he needed a strong woman by his side. Deirdre was perfect!
