Doug has tried to distance himself from a female who killed an innocent to keep him from leaving. Years later, he is still trapped and her threats have riddled his mind with self-hate. Now, he seeks the forbidden comforts of a human again. The attraction is swift and as his heart latches on, he hopes that in due time she’ll accept him, wereleopard spots and all.
When his brother comes to town, he offers Doug a plan that will shift his life for the better. As Doug starts to gain power and embody the male his father always expected him to be, the truth rears its ugly head… A human won’t fit into the picture.
As a BBW in a city full of Botox faces, slight figures, and silicone peaks, Eve doesn’t get asked out much. She meets Doug on an animal lover’s dating site and can’t believe her luck, at first. After a long and rocky start, she takes a chance on Doug, despite his unresolved girlfriend issues. When another man enters the picture, though, she begins to second-guess her choice.
But she doesn’t know the whole story yet.
Doug refuses to walk away from her and his truth won’t stay hidden. When Eve finally comes face-to-face with it, neither will hers.

This is the 3rd book in the series, you do need to read them in order.
Doug is a Were Leopard who is under the control of a vicious female.  She killed a human female he fell in love with, and framed him for it. It has crushed his self respect.  He is drawn to a beautiful human, but knows it might be dangerous.
Eve is a curvy woman in L.A. a town full of stick thin women. She will not believe the hot guy who is flirting with her could really want her. Eve's best friend has recently had a baby with a Were Leopard and it is hard for Eve to accept.
I love this series, and am glad that poor Doug got his story. He is an unlikely hero because he has been so far under that wicked female's thumb. He is definitely more a lover than a fighter.  Eve has always had the  makings of a strong heroine. She is a good friend who puts other people's feelings above her own, but she has a secret that not even her best friend knows.
This series is definitely addictive.  I am now waiting impatiently for Nate's story.

The first book in a new to me series.  In this author's "world" humans know about Weres,  they live in their own areas and don't interact any more than they must.
Our heroine is a were leopard, but is considered a mutant because of her inability to shift. She suffered horrendous abuse in the past,  so now she is in hiding as a human.  She has learned the hard way to hide all her emotions behind a wall. Unfortunately she makes a big mistake that is about to change her life forever.
Now, I'm not going to tell you our hero's name because that would spoil the first part of the story.
The Were world is one with it's own prison and brutal shifter guards.
This book is almost non stop action. The shifters are not the normal happy go lucky pack members. There are several very vicious fights, and some of the sex scenes are unusual.  You can't help feeling sorry for our heroine, she has a lot of dangerous times.
I look forward to the next book.

This is the 2nd book in the series. It's best to read them in order.
Brom is the king of the Were Leopards but at the moment he is not doing a very good job. He has been trying to drown out the voice of his dead wife in his brain, with whisky.  He wants to be in his daughter's life, but has a long way to go before she will forgive the things he did.
Siddhima (Sid) is a yoga instructor and vegetarian, with a strict mother.   When Sid wakes up after a night out with Brom in her bed, she kicks him straight out. The trouble starts there and gets worse.
I found this book so funny at times. Poor Sid , it was so easy to picture what she was doing. Brom doesn't get it any easier, but for him it's much more dangerous.  This is proving to be an addictive series.

photo 51uB60keFFL._UX250__zpso0uzvzt4.jpgDina was a late bloomer. She didn't become a "reader" until one summer away from college, working at a failing video store in her home town, the East Bay Area of California. With several hours of downtime, she snuck her mother's book, Pet Sematary, to work and found her imagination came to life with the creepy words on Stephen King's pages. Back at university, she began to realize her own penchant for story-telling in an exchange that started with a close friend. Oddly enough, by the time she graduated with a degree in Sociology, she knew she wanted to become an actress, but her "B" plan (or maybe it was her "C" plan) was to someday write a book, or books if she planned to make any sort of living off of it. Something romance related, of course.
Flash forward 10 years (or more), when acting started to look more like a pipe dream, she picked up the pen, literally, and wrote her first book. A friend had introduced her to the Urban Fantasy genre and didn't that seem apropos; elements of horror combined with everything she liked about romance. She is happy to pursue this passion while she keeps a few contemporary romance stories on standby.
Currently, she resides in Miracle Mile, Los Angeles.
