Mary Jane has given up on men when she reluctantly travels to New Orleans for a weekend getaway with girlfriends. Stubborn and determined to steer clear of trouble, she’s sealed her sensuality under lock and key. Fate intervenes, however, with a chance to rediscover her sexual self. She will encounter three spirits – each one with an erotic test that will compel her to confront deeply held inhibitions and fears. She accepts the challenge and embarks on a decadent, daring, and unforgettable journey into paranormal pleasure.

Excerpt:
“You’re here on a journey,” Driver explained. “You’re not the person you want to be, Mary Jane. You try to pretend you don’t want certain things or don’t need them—and you’d probably be content to fool yourself into thinking that your job and your DVR are enough to make a good life for many more years. But you’re wrong.”
Mary Jane felt her stomach lurch.
“You’ve got a lot more to offer life and life has a lot more to offer you—but you can’t attain your potential unless you open yourself up to real emotions.”
“Oh, really? Like love?” Mary Jane snorted, willing herself to ignore the creeping sense of dread Driver’s words were inspiring. “I tried love once. It lasted six years and gave me heartburn.”
Driver grabbed both of her hands, exasperated. “No. You didn’t try love. You tried marriage. Not always the same thing. You’ve tried to push down the human side of you for so long nobody can get in. And now, no ordinary man is going to be enough to release it.”
“So I’m beyond hope?” Mary Jane asked bitterly.
“Oh no,” Driver reassured her. “But you’re going to need some extra assistance.” In answer to her skeptical glance, he explained, “Sometimes, in order to be human, you need to mix with the not-quite-human.”
“Huh?”
“The storm was no accident, Mary Jane. Your friends won’t get here for hours, because there are other people you need to meet today. Well,” he paused, “not exactly people.”
“Who am I meeting?”
He took a deep breath. “Today, Mary Jane, you will encounter three spirits.”
“You’ve got to be kidding. Three spirits? Don’t you mean ghosts?” Her words were more sarcastic than she’d intended.
“No,” Driver replied, a slight grin pulling at the edges of his mouth. “Not all spirits are ghosts, as you’ll find out. But they all have something to teach you, as long as you’re willing to learn.”
Mary Jane’s head grew heavy, Driver’s words too bizarre for her to comprehend. She rubbed her temple and muttered, “And these spirits are going to teach me what? Love?”
“No,” Driver chuckled. “We’re not starting with love. You’re not ready yet. Today’s lesson is about sex.”
“Three spirits are going to teach me about sex?” Mary Jane didn’t bother moderating the sarcasm in her tone this time. The entire conversation was making her dizzy.
“Basically.” Driver moved closer and she found herself fascinated by the droplets of moisture collecting on the muscles of his chest. “It’s hard to embrace life if you squash the very part of you designed for pleasure. You might even say that sex is life. And you need to stop pretending to be dead.”
Now inches away, he tugged at the hem of her sweater, using the fabric to pull her closer. When she didn’t resist, he lifted an eyebrow, as if asking for permission.
She should be outraged, should yank her sweater out of his hot fingers and walk away. Yet she did nothing to stop him and as he continued to stare with a questioning glance, she shrugged. “Do I even have a choice about this journey?”
Driver slid his fingers into the gap between her sweater hem and her jeans, his warm touch a shock against her skin, sending an instant jolt down to her very core. Somewhere, buried beneath a pair of cotton bikinis, the flesh between her thighs tingled.
“Mary Jane, I already told you. Everything is a choice, and you made yours at the airport this morning. The only thing you have to do now is sit back and enjoy the ride.”
